Colts at Panthers MNF

It just hit me, but Panthers are the first team in NFL history to win a game after trailing in OT.

Which, if interpreted another way, states:
The Colts are the first team in NFL history to lose a game when leading in OT.

I think it sounds better written like that, no?

Snitches get stitches. ;)

Dont have a problem with the Saints overall I think Brees is great and a great person. My thoughts are this - If Brees got a 2nd ring we would never hear the end of it. It would just give every Brady hater more ammo. Hence why Rodgers is on there and Eli and Ben....Well, its not about Ben with that team.
Drew Brees is outstanding but he is nowhere close to being in TB12 company.

Nothing to worry about there, man.

Wow. ESPN calls that 'one of the most entertaining games we've seen in a /long/ time.'
The Giants /Saints game from Sunday was far more entertaining, that wasn't a long time ago.

Former GM though so not even involved with the team anymore. I can only hate so many teams and I just don't have the energy to hold out a grudge about every little thing that's said.
This is how I make it as easy as possible: I hate every team except ours.

Next weeks game vs. Denver is pretty much a "must win" for the Colts . . . Has any team gone 3-6 and go on to win the division (I think 3 teams that started 3-6 made the playoffs)?

They could go 3-9 and win that division. Fortunately the NFL is going to add playoff teams soon to make sure every team that truly sucks has a chance. Someday there will be a playin game where the winner makes the playoffs and the loser picks first in the draft.

And there's more irony involved. Old friend, Brian Hoyer, is effectively working against IND in the form of HOU. Whoever does not win this division, probably won't win a wild card, as the records are so terrible. Of course, there are plenty of games left. However, HOU blew it last week at home vs TEN (1-6), who won their first game of the year. And HOU's schedule isn't a breeze...@IND, @NE, @CIN. They do get to play TEN again, but @TEN. So, it's no cakewalk for them just to finish at .500 and/or even come out on top of their division.

IND play DEN at home this week; @ATL next week; @PIT, @Mia. They'll get to play HOU at home. Generally, they might have an easier schedule. Of course, there's the luck/Luck factor. How hurt is he? Will his injury get worse. If Luck goes down for the season, will IND play for picks (i.e. intentionally lose to improve their team with better picks next year)? And this gets thrown out because...that's how they've built their current team. As they've done it already- for a full season -it's likely they've done it before and will do it, again.

EDIT: NE game @HOU

.

The NE game is in Houston.

Hopefully Denver makes a complaint to NFL security about piped in crowd noise, and Peyton tells them exactly who and where to find it.

I hope DEN checks the balls, sound, injury report and locker room(s) for starters. :D

First thing the Colts need to do is hire a coach who will reign in Andrew Luck. Could not believe the throws he was attempting to make coming down the final minute and into overtime. Looked like an inexperienced rookie. He cost them the game in OT and came very close to throwing a pick at the end of the game with his team already in FG range for the tie. One replay showed him forcing the ball into the end zone when he had a wide open receiver (and plenty of time) at the 10 yd line along the left sideline. This guy just doesn't see the whole field. Too in love with his arm strength. Sounds crazy but the best thing that could happen to Andrew Luck would be a short term injury that hampered his ability to throw long. It would force him to develop good QB habits.

Here's a better way of looking at it

^^ +3 interceptions from last night

That's not a fair comparison. Luck was a rookie in 2012 and Brady was a 10+ year veteran.
And let's not forget Brady was the king of the dink and dunk ball control 5 yd pass offense in his early days.
Hardly high risk. Completely different situation/expectations for Luck.
Andrew Luck gets with the right coach he'll be a HOF player.

Some valid points but I have to disagree on the "dink and dunk" bit. Other teams' fans have used that to discredit Brady from Day 1 and I think it's not valid. The Patriots trademark short passing game relies on precision routes, accurate and quick passes , top-notch decision making and the right receivers. If it was so easy, other teams would copy it; it's not so they don't.

2012 is not "early days" for Tom Brady.

I agree its an unfair comparison, Luck is getting worse every year as he gets experiance

I agree. I've come to the conclusion that most other teams don't have that sort of game in their pocket for when they need it because they just cannot play that way.

Imagine how much more satisfying this would be if the Texans were competent this season and could go 8-8 or 9-7

Imagine if the Jags beat the Jest this weekend and the Colts lose to Den. That would put Jax and Hou in a tie for first in the AFC Suck, er, South.

They could go 3-9 and win that division.
After Denver next week, they're at Atlanta and at Pittburgh after that, with a game against Tampa in there. So there's an excellent chance they're going to be 4-8 and still favored to win that division. What a train wreck.
