OT: Schefter - Denver Trades for Vernon Davis

The Broncos have turned into a bunch of Kardashians.... nothing but a list of celebs:

1. Manning
2. Thomas
3. Sanders
4. Von Miller
5. Ware
6. Ward
7. Talib
8. Davis

This latest Davis acquisition is a trademark of Mr. Teeth. He like bombastic names, thinking he can buy himself rings that way. But the bottom line is, just like with the Kardashians where you can't buy TV rating with names, you can't buy championships with superstars either.

Championships are coached, not bought. Not to mention, by the time Davis finally learns that new ***-backwards offense, it's already playoffs time, and Manning's arm turns al-dente and falls off.

They have a better D? In what way? I see the same defense. It's good, but the Pats are built to exploit it. It was all scary and blah blah last year as well. Have to go find posts leading up to the game last year. Most likely be hearing the same thing.

Id have to say he has more in the tank because kap sucks. But maybe not.

The Pats have a better D. It was in reference to a poster claiming we lost our lock down secondary. I was merely pointing out we have an even better D now. And the team is better.

Every year we think chiefs or san diego will beat denver. almost never happens. KC couldnt beat them at home. No way they are beating them on the road.

Linemen is not exotic for Mr. Ed. He likes filling exotic positions with exotic names: QB, WR, CBs, SS, DEs, TE. Linemen are boring.... who needs them anyway...

FWIW, Given that this it's pretty much guaranteed Manning retires at the end of the season, they are going all in with nothing to lose. They know this is their last shot at a Lombardi. Once Manning is gone, the Broncos are going back to being a suckage full of 5hit, fighting for 3rd place in the AFCW.

Well, you left everyone's binky Evan Mathis off that list, to be fair.

TBH, people are only freaking out about this trade because VD is a house-name (or at least used to be). I'd be freaking out more if they traded for tackles to protect Manning. That would have made them much more dangerous. As long as their O-line is average, any good D-line (such as ours) will be all over that forehead.

Hopefully Davis has "checked out" for good and doesn't pull some Randy Moss checkout where he comes back as good as ever for a few years!

If the Broncos lock up a bye and rest their starters, which includes Ware, and he's fresh for the playoffs, him "slowing down" due to age means zero.

Them complaining last year, again, means zero. Different team, different make up.

Belichick goes on record every offseason to say that every year and every season brings a new team and attitude, but I guess you know that what Denver supposedly believed last season means so much to them now...

What happened last season means nothing. To say it does is what's truly ridiculous....

Wow, so it really is a great bargain. I was reading this as Denver giving up 3 picks, which seemed like a less than low price.

Good lord. Different team? How so? Coaches? Doesn't change mental makeup. BB may say that publicly but unless you have massive roster overhaul it isn't that big of a deal.
