OT: The Broncos D really capitalized on Aaron Rodgers biggest weakness...

@PFF: This Broncos defense has a chance to be one of the best all-time: Broncos defense could be one of best ever @PFF_Sam

LOL... reminds me the talk about their offense a couple of years ago when they played the Seahawks in the Superbowl.... "Best offense ever".... then got ***-rammed by the Seahawks' D.

'Best ever'.... LOL

their D seemed to do ok against green bay's fast receivers. they were just able to get to the QB a lot and disrupt the timing.

That's because their receivers were getting no separation. You can't compare the speed and quickness of our offense to GB's. The speed, the talent, the coaching, etc, of our offense are all infinitely better. GB's offense has looked flat for several weeks now.

GB should have used the same gameplan with which we beat Seattle last year. They don't have the players to execute it as well as we did, but it would have been a lot better than the laughable plan they put together last night.

Peyton rested during the bye. Like a baseball pitcher.

The Broncos defense looks formidable to these eyes. The future matchup against Brady and company outta be something to see.

People who are all over Rodgers should just remember that it was only a little over a year ago that Tom Brady got the hook in a game. Even the best have off days.

that was one helluva "off day" if you ask me...and even if you don't ask me...

If the Pats and Broncos both get a bye this year, I believe that would be four consecutive years - 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 - where they have each had a bye as the #1/#2 seed in the same conference. I wonder if that has ever happened before. In fact, I wonder if it had even happened three consecutive years before.

To further the point people have been making in comparing Rodgers' ability to stage a comeback, here are some stats.

Brady is tied for second all time behind Manning with 36 fourth quarter comebacks. Meanwhile he has just 47 regular season losses which obviously are games where he failed to stage a comeback.
Rodgers has just 9 fourth quarter comebacks vs. 34 losses.

So Brady has a 43% winning percentage in games his team was losing in the fourth quarter while Rodgers has a 21% winning percentage.

In the playoffs, Brady has 6 fourth quarter comebacks to 8 losses. Rodgers has 1 comeback vs 5 losses.

Obviously, this doesn't take into account degree of difficulty, but I think it's obvious Brady is better in the clutch or with the odds against him and it's not close.

If anyone's looking for a silver lining, Tom Brady is now 1:2 odds to win the MVP award.

Agreed. I realize that you can make the argument that media attention doesn't really matter, but when you consider how many people are concerned about the "pressure" the Pats face if they continue to win, this is sort of a good thing.
When it comes to being accused of wrongdoing, this region is hyper-sensitive about the Pats. Its understandable.

However when it comes to greatness, everyone's opinion is irrelevant. The NEP have the greatest team, QB coach, org, and dynasty the NFL has ever seen.

We need a little self-confidence here.

jeezus krist...this is just dawning on you? this board has become a chicken little egg farm since training camp.

I called this before the game...Rodgers would struggle badly with a lack of playmakers. It reminds me of Brady without Gronkowski in 2012; the offense could still dominate weaker teams and look as though they hadn't missed a beat. When they went up against a really tough D, though, like Baltimore in the AFCCG, that's when you really miss those superstars. Nelson is one of the very best WRs in the NFL, and the Packers receiving corps have been riddled with injuries. Eventually that stuff is going to catch up with you, particularly against the league's best defense.

I worry about the refs in this game. That's my only concern. Second the o line.

Yeah, it's basically the same notion that a lot of us base our personnel takes on. You can get by with what you have at (fill in position here) for the regular season, but you might be in big trouble against good teams, especially in the playoffs.

But wouldn't it make sense to show his actual second half numbers? Oh, never mind, it's the NFL who put out this graphic, so objectivity was never their goal.

Whoever did this just probably went to Pro Football Reference and used Game Finder and just totaled up his complete stats for those games

Well, the overall stats aren't bad but anyone with half a brain knows the most important one is the 0-7. I guess its the difference between a passer and a winner.

Skeptical Football: The Aaron Rodgers Enigma

As of when this article was written 10/14/14 Rodgers is 0-21 in games where he is behind 9 or more points after halftime. Manning on the other hand is 14-49 in these games and when manning is behind by 9 or more points his interception rate doubles because he is taking chances... Rodgers interception rate does not budge and he just loses them.
