Young Patriots fans remind the rest of the NFL: 'They're not as wonderful as us'

I love this! My favorite part is the kid who said, "Brady can play with high school kids and still win!" The deflategate comments are also hilarious ("Does this make you mad, eh?")

And here's some perspective for how lucky (or spoiled) some of us fan are:

I did some quick calculations based on the demographic info here.

By my calculation, 20.3% of the US population have never been alive for a losing Patriots season. (2000, so people born 2001 and after)
15.3% of the US population have never been alive for a sub-double digit wins season. (2002)

Loved those kids.. They told it like it was.. Loved some of them saying the Pats were framed.. Surprised that the NFL allowed it to air, honestly.. Because of the negative things about the NFL..

Those kids were students at Boston Latin School. My sister teaches math there, and they are her students. Most of the footage was shot in her classroom.

I had no idea of this prior to the game, and then in the first quarter my cell phone starts blowing up...

Awesome!

I'm 30, and since I was 11 the Pats have been in over a third of all Super Bowls played (7 out of 19). Parcells took over when I was 7, my earliest memories of the Pats are pretty much Parcells/Bledsoe/Coates.

There's a whole generation of Pats fans now in their 30s who have watched the Pats be perpetual SB contenders since they were kids.

I hope this team never goes back to its pre Brady/Belichick level of success, but I think every Pats fan who were not born or too young to lived through the 1990 season should be forced to watch every single one of those games to appreciate what we have.

Luckily for them, they cannot gain an actual perspective of the actual suckitude of that season by just watching the games (or Zeke Mowatt and his Patriot Missile). But they should see what this team could be to appreciate what it is.

Young Boston fans are spoiled in all sports. The longest drought is the Celtics at a whopping 7 years.

They will never appreciate what they have until it's gone.

Slightly OT but, Celtics are on their way up, we might have them when Patriots fade or fall back. Brad Stevens is going to be one of the greatest coaches ever when it's all said and done. Very Belichick like.
Check out his reaction to that crazy Jeff Green winner in Miami few years back

Exactly this. I was wondering if it was being shot live or something and they didn't have time to censor it :)

My son is 10. He knows nothing but Patriot excellence. The first game he remembers is the SB loss in 11. He knows nothing but playoffs and super bowls. When I was 10 in 1984 we were thrilled if they played a meaningful game in December. Times have changed, eh?

We have been lucky. In the 80s the Celtics were great and the Bruins were always competitive, we even had a couple of good Sox years. It was really 91-94 that were bad, Reggie Lewis died, Bruins were average, Sox traded Clemons and we sucked and obviously the Pats were not good.

After the game on the local network they had an interview during the early 4th quarter with fans leaving the game. A bunch of kids were leaving early because "Brady's got it on lock" and other stupid **** kids say these days.

They probably had to go to school early next morning :D

dat little girl with the air pump tho lmao

It wasn't about deflategate. That was just one of the many Patriots topics the kids discussed.

I agree that it was well done.

I'm disappointed that not one kid was smart enough to say in science class they went over the ideal gas law. What did they do, get the stupid kids?
