In 2013 Mike Mayock was ridiculed for saying he thought the Patriots had the best Linebacking group in the league. Forward to today and I want to know how we compare to Panthers LBs or any other LBs you consider elite.

Panthers pretty good. A tie.

Lookin Good, what's scary is they're gonna get better.

Panthers are good with Luke & Davis but Hightower & Collins are more rounded players overall IMO.

Then you add in genuine quality as a backup with Mayo, it just tips the scales to New England further.

I would have loved to see what the 49ers would look like if the wheels hadn't fallen off this offseason with all the early retirements.

To our credit, we've become cream of the crop, 1A and 1B with Panthers. We pass rush better, they cover better. No real deficiencies to speak of. Can't wait til Mayo is healthy again and excited to see Bostic once he has an opportunity.

I agree and when you add in the age of New England's group it really tips the scales in their favor.

Hightower, Collins, Kuechly, Davis.

I know there's no chance of that ever happening, but if it did, no Pats Fan would ever have ED again. ;)

Patriots LB corp vs Panthers LB corp. What else is out there? I think our LB corps is superior to the Seahawks although Bobby Wagner is formidable.

Ever since Patrick Willis retired, no. And even then, Willis and Bowman were two awesome LBs with similar skill sets. Collins and Hightower compliment each other like I've never seen.

I think the real question is "is there a better front seven in the league?" With the depth and talent on the d line it would be tough to argue against.

I'd love to poach Wagner. Won't happen but damn that would be something to see.

I'd say toss up with Carolina and would also be tough to decide with Baltimore if they didn't lose Suggs.
