What are your thoughts on Todd Bowles?

The Pats finally have some COMPETITION in our division. This is a good thing IMHO.
I like Bowles. He seems to know what he's doing. Sadly, it appears that the Jets have chosen well this time.

It seemed a friendlier atmosphere on the field post game with BB and Tom taking their time meeting & greeting. Also unlike the Colts post game QB presser, TFB did not seem wicked pissed. Bowles has made the rivalry more professional. Thank god this otherwise competent coach exhibits Herm Edwards level bewilderment at the time clock.

If I noticed it correctly, TB12 was real quick with Revis.

EDIT: confirmed

Always interesting to try and read into nothing....

I'm guessing Revis isn't getting a Chrisrmas Card from the Bradys given his StingGate comments.
In the pregame with Beetle, Jonathan took the high road which is fine. A man in his position can't reduce himself to getting in skirmishes with players.

I'm thankful that Revis was on the team next year but sorry....when he says that the team, "has a history of doing stuff" and 'Tom was a part of it" and "He should accept the suspension..." hes on the other side now.

I have no issue with Brady drawing lines in the sand.

Pretty much agree with everything. I thought his clock management while the Patriots was driving with 2-3 minutes to go was a bit like Andy Reid. He let the Patriots take a lot of time off the clock with that drive and never called a time out. He could have preserved another minute or more if he had used the timeouts at that point.

Pats offense gifted him a couple of clock stops with incomplete passes as well.

Other than that he seems to be a decent coach.

Bowles could have handled the clock better, but he seems to have made this into a completely different Jets team (unfortunately). They kind of played like professionals. Plus, unbelievably enough, they didn't make a bunch of knucklehead plays. And, somehow they have transformed Fitzpatrick into a really decent quarterback, I thought he played well during the game, and more importantly, he played smart.

The Jets front office seems to be in "win now" mode, so hopefully some of their moves (like the gigantic Revis contract) will bite them down the road and give them big cap problems. Because otherwise, the Jets could be a problem for a while, they seem to have somehow lucked into a decent NFL coach and so far they are getting decent quarterback play also.

It'll be interesting to watch the Jets going forward. They've essentially reset the team to 2010. An aging team of good vets built around a great defense carrying a mediocre QB (though you wouldn't know it yesterday). The announcers kept mentioning that the Jets were the older team in this matchup which is not what the perception is. They'll have to rebuild the entire offensive line and find a QB of the future (Geno? No.) pretty soon, or else it'll turn to ashes just like the 2011 and beyond Jets went no matter how highly we think of Bowles.

The Jets maintained their composure during the whole game, i.e., didn't lose their **** at the end. I would guess that it was good coaching there.

Plus they look like a real football team, especially compared to the league this year.

I still think Bowles is a really good coach after yesterday, but there is some kind of disease that all Jets coach get that cause them to totally mismanage the end of games.

He clearly should have used a TO while the Patriots had the ball, but I thought the decision to go for the field goal first was spot on. The defense was conceding intermediate routes down the middle for clock reasons, so take what they're giving and pick up the first score.

Right now Todd Bowles without Geno Smith is avery good Todd Bowles...lets hope the Jets extend Smith.;)

Much better then rex that's for sure

Other than needing to improve his end-of-game management, he seemed solid. Of course, it helps that he's got a pretty stacked team.

Bowles looks good has the team playing well. They are limited at QB and that will cost them but for the most part the team seems well discplined and well coached. TBH looking around the league they can beat alot of teams in the AFC. Who do you put ahead of them...CINN? Not Denver IMO, Not INdy and not Pitt (although when Big Ben is back lets see how good they really are.

After watching the game yesterday, I think Todd Bowles is going to be a great coach in the league. I have been very impressed by his overall demeanor, and I thought his gameplan was strong. Knowing the Jets, though, they will probably screw it all up with him as they typically do, with some kind of low ball contract or they'll just fire him for no reason.

Honestly? I love what I see so far. He has honestly made me look at the Jets differently. The atmosphere that hes creating and the way he conducts himself makes me look at the Jets org with a lot more respect than i did when the circus was in town.

Is he perfect? Of course not, and some of his decisions yesterday reminded us that he is indeed a rookie HC. Bowles gives them more hope and commands respect that they just haven't had in a while.
I enjoy these games more when they are both good teams and deliver battles that are undecided through nearly the whole game. Unfortunately for the Jets, they still don't have a franchise QB and that roster has a good number of players, good players, that aren't going t be getting any younger.

Wow. I can't believe all of the ball-washing of the clueless dimwit Bowles.

Do you not know who Todd Bowles really is? Look no further than Detroit's current but not for much
longer HC Caldwell. Both of them share the same out of touch, faraway look in their eyes, during which
it is obvious that they not only don't know what's going on, but don't know how to fix it either.

Bring on Bowles , another "players coach" whom Brady will chew up and spit out for the next 4 years.
