LaFell will have a better game next week!

He was absolutely brutal yesterday.

Looks like he and Jules have the same ailment- cantcatchthefreakingballitis

Chandler had it earlier this year.

I'm hopeful DA and Gronk do not get the same illness.

Possible explanation for the drops yesterday-maybe the league over inflated the balls to 16psi again . . .

Actually if Nink could have caught some of those batted balls, this game would have been a blow out. I think he had chances at 2-3 interceptions.

It was his first game action since the Super Bowl and he looked about as rusty as one could expect. With time and health, he'll improve.

Anybody have insight on why Martin was inactive? Looks like they must have liked bigger receivers in this game. Curious, I thought he had been playing pretty well and was ahead of Dobson.

There's no way to know that. Maybe so, maybe not.

I think he'll be better but maybe only marginally. It's going to take time for him to get into "game shape".

LaFell will get his timing back. My guess is he sees less action against Miami and the long break should give him time to put in some good hands-work and get synched up with TB12. Tom kept going back to him, and he was getting open, so I am not worried about him being a solid contributor in the near future.

On the bright side, he got open many times and he seems fully recovered from his injury. Once he gets back in the groove with Brady then this offense will be on another level of scary.

Lafell won't have a better game next week. He'll have a better game this Thursday. :)

Exactly. He looked like a guy who hasn't played at game speed in 8 months. Ok sure, he looked even rustier than I would've expected, but **** happens. As long as he makes noticeable improvement quickly, it's fine. In the mean time, I'd keep him on a short leash. If he starts dropping balls against Miami, the Pats shouldn't hesitate to yank him and tell him to spend another week remembering how to catch.

Is it possible BB greesed up the ball so it would be harder for the DBs to catch being confident in our guys to still catch it? Those sneaky cheaters cheating their own team.
