Y'know, after the playoffs he had, I wouldn't be upset with him if he balked at BB asking him to cut his salary like so many before him (Seymour, Mankins, etc, etc) but he took it like a man and is playing way incredibly. Could've easily lost him when he took the pay cut but he has shown up this season. Didn't he start working with Alex Guerrero (TB12 friend)?

Amendola seemed to be the only receiver making plays. The Jets clearly took Gronk away from us, and LaFell was just not ready. Edelman has been a shadow of himself. With Lewis out, thank goodness we had one guy who could make the acrobatic and clutch play.

He put his body on the line, more than a few times, and showed tremendous hop. I didn't realize he was quite so athletic until this game.

If gronk doesn't have at least two touchdowns then he had bad week to these guys. Dobson is terrible because he didn't catch the ball smoothly enough i guess and now Edelman and lafell are terrible too i guess. These guys have to ***** about something every week when the team is 6-0.

8 for 14 isn't ideal, but they did go 0 for 3 on their last three when it mattered most.

The Patriots gift-wrapped that game for the Jets to step into the first tier of teams with a huge win on the road. The drops were uncharacteristically alarming. If Edelman catches the TD and LaFell holds onto half the throws he dropped, that game is a blowout.

Fortunately Gronk had a huge day and Amendola stepped up when he was needed most. I hope Edelman and LaFell return the favor on Thursday night.

The Patriots hung 30 on the Jets "best defense in the AFC" without Dion Lewis, half of their starting OL or a running game. The Jets are a paper tiger who will still make the playoffs due to their soft schedule.

That said, I expect a huge running game Thursday night from LeGarrette Blount against the Dolphins.

Lets go back in the time machine, after just about any game in 2014 there was the obligatory post on this board of "Where was Amendola??" Then there was the endless banter on talk radio echoing the same, and how he was making too much money.. waive him, renegotiate his salary, BB/McDaniels do not know how to evaluate talent.. etc. etc.

Wonder what is must be like on some of the perennial NFL loser message boards??
