If he had anything left in the tank, the Titans would have already signed him. Their defense is terrible and those that think Jason McCourty is good, hasn't watched any of their games either. No thanks.

Bring back Dennard

He played very well in 2013. They tried working him in the slot as they felt he was behind, Revis, Browner, Ryan and Arrington and obviously saw Malcolm with more upside.

I'm speculating but I think they just didn't think he was worth the aggravation.

I'm with you, and I'll bet that there's more to the story than we know. There would have to be for a 26 year old CB who showed some skills on the field to get no nibbles from ANY team.

Thank you, jesus god this can't be said enough.

Why would you want to pay $8 million/yr for a GTFB corner, when you can pick one up off the street for the vet minimum?

Because to expect any more than that out of Jason McCourty is delusion, pure and simple.

Off-the-field stuff is a big red flag on him too, let's not forget.

Yep, the whole off-the-field package is what I was referring to. Legal troubles, locker-room attitude...Dennard has clearly scared teams off.

if he can play, why not? its depth.

our top three corners are butler, ryan and cole....and theres no one else. We have been playing 3 safeties on defense most plays with harmon/mccourty/chung we could use another corner.

Yea. He was picked up by the Cards the day after the Pats cut him and later released over the summer. He has been out of football since.

Dear God,

Not Cooper.

Sincerely,
Pretty much every Patriots fan who's ever seen him play

This.

"Here's a guy I heard of that one time on ESPN who plays for another team. Let's trade someone they don't want, and a 7th round pick for him!"

IIRC, I believe that he and his attorney brought up the prospect of early probation termination at his trial, to where the judge openly stated that she'd almost certainly grant it as long as he stayed out of trouble. He really didn't even have to serve that much time reporting to a P.O.

What a shame.

There might be a possibility with the Rams. CB Janoris Jenkins wants out at the end of the year it was reported today. Then you would have a tandem of North Alabama and West Alabama....Oh the irony!.
Jenkins has kept his nose clean. The Rams are 3 and 2. Not out, but they still have the Hawks, Ravens, Bengals and Cards to play.

If Fisher trades him now he might get more than a comp pick for him in 2016. The Rams are thin at Safety. Maybe a fourth or late pick and a Wilson gets it done? Bill will spend on a rental. This kid might be worth a redo in 2016. Remember BB gave up a 4th on a rental last year.

But Jenkins has all kinds of talent and is young. Team him and Butler and you might not have to chase a CB in the Draft and have a few youngsters behind them.

I liked him coming out of college but idk how he has played recently.

He is assante Samuel part 2 no thanks.
I have a friend who is a rams fan and he says Jenkins is so hood and not very bright.
Pass
Sean Smith or trade for anybody but not Jenkins.

Yeah, there was talk when he first got into trouble about how out of character it was for him. That clearly wasn't the case.
