Just thought I'd say I'm pretty damned happy with this team, grateful for our amazing coaching and QB and other players. How freaking spoiled are we that we just won the Super Bowl, we consistently pick in the bottom of the draft, but we still manage to be 5-0 so far this season?

In the off season, I lost interest in the NFL in general. I no longer pay much attention to non Patriot games, I don't listen to the pundits. I don't get very excited about many other teams any more, I just am so jaded and fed up with this disgusting league and what it did to the Patriots in the offseason. (Exception: I like the Packers, and am rooting for Chip Kelly to succeed because he was a coach at UNH).

But the Patriots keep on doing their thing, and it is freaking amazing.

Their focus and discipline is incredible not just for its magnitude but its consistency: I have probably lost more time at work over the last 6 months thinking about deflategate than Belichick has!

The way this team has reacted to some of these wins i am dreading how they will react to a loss. Like if the Jets actually beat the Pats (which they are good enough to do if things go their way) seeing how this board has reacted to some of our less impressive wins I worry about how some fans here would react to that.

The 2007 SI cover was perfect:

You're right. It has worked out perfectly. The Pats have started the season with a convincing 5-0 record which figuratively shoved a gag down any Patriot haters throat who were dying to say "see they can't win without deflating the balls" or "see ....look at all those fumbles". Even a loss won't change that now.

Now we can comfortably settle down and watch what seems to be a great match up this weekend.

Go Pats.

Nope not happy. Nothing short of Santa Clara podium will make me content. I used to think a fourth for Brady would do it, and if he got no more so be it. Just not stuck at 3. The NFL saw to it that it didn't happen that way.

Its a new season now and we are a spoiled rotten fan base.

No. I will truly be happy when Brady/BB/Pats have six SB rings with the last three in order. Then I might have to give up football because Nirvana has been reached.

If not for the championship last year, all of the BS that came out of the AFCCG would have been just too much drama for anyone to take...

I am very pleased at the results and the fact is : these teams ('14 - '15) are pretty easy to like. Business. Winning. Tough. Youth.

So so so many bad things can happen without warning - so this season has started well... that's all we can count on til now. That and the fact that many many other teams just look awful so far...

I want 7....one more than the Squealers.

The way the 49ers are going they'll reach 6 in 2092

I've gotten to where winning isn't as thrilling as it must be for New Jersey Green Beans fans -- I just feel it's expected, and sometimes come away from a win slightly disappointed if the performance isn't up to par.

I'm happy. They are young, really good, in good cap shape and are led by two GOATS. I really think two more Lombardi's are completely doable before the GOATS hang them up. Maybe even three if luck is on their side.
