Good Ole Marshall Faulk Was At It Again Last Night...

If it was a Patriot player that said "hut", then that's even better! It shows we got some smart players on our team!

4th and 3 is a bad time to risk a penalty for simulating a snap count. I don't have a moral or ethical issue with it, but situationally, you are risking giving a team a free first down instead of just staying on side and waiting them out for a low percentage play or a timeout.

I first heard them say someone on the pats say hut but later they said the center who was snapping probably heard hut from whalen and snapped it.

Yup.

It was just speculation on their part — and I'm sure the Colts would have pointed fingers immediately if that happened (didn't that happen with another team this season? Maybe the Steelers?).

Still, they did just mention it in passing, for which I give them credit. I expected an innuendo-filled tangent to follow, but it didn't.
Well, it was sort of the Steelers. I thought at the time that is what Big Ben was complaining vociferously to the officials about (that the Pats simulated the snap count and drew the Steelers offsides). But it turns out that he was only complaining that the Pats shifted en masse on the defensive side of the ball, a perfectly legal move that Big Ben thought was a violation of an unwritten rule. Dumbass.

Why is it everyone absolutely loses their minds against the Pats? They just cannot accept that half of the Pats' game plan, every week, is to outthink you (the other half is to outplay you).

Agreed. The Pats did not simulate the snap count. That's just a nice rumor started by Marshall Fault to explain how the Colts could have been so dumb.

FWIW: Zolak this morning said Bolden him told him the Colt who took the snap kept saying "DON'T SNAP IT! DON'T SNAP IT!" Maybe the snapper didn't hear the "don't" (which will remind us old timers of Don Zimmer telling Denny Doyle "no no no. ..")

You should have seen him giggle with sheer laughter on NFL* Gameday Overtime when they showed the Colts fans with "Cheaties" t-shirt. Won't be able to find the footage unless you record because they never show Gameday Overtime on nfl.com. He did giggle a little in gameday final but not as much as gameday overtime.

He's going to remain a bitter old man for the rest of his life. Just like that cheat Shula.

I think the biggest difference between Sanders/Irvin and whiny is they appreciate hard work and passion for the game. There was an interview Irvin gave once about how his first year in the cowboys after a loss he was devastated and almost in tears and guys were joking around like no big deal we still got paid. He went to the coaches and was this guy that guy and that guy HAVE to go if we are ever gonna win. For as much as a clown and on air personality as Michael is he worked HARD on his craft and had a driving desire to be the best. Same with Sanders IMO. Faulk on the other hand got by on crazy quicks and moves, more instints and natural talent and to this day believes in paper athletic ability should always win. He truly does not understand good coaching and superior excecution matter more than who can run faster. That is why he hates the patriots so much. More often than not they do not have the superior team on paper and it fries his puny little brain every time the on paper better team loses. Its just not the way it's "supposed to be" in his world view.

Faulk always seems so bitter and jealous about the Patriots' dominance, whereas Sanders and Irvin respect the greatness and applaud it as elevating the league. I appreciate that.

Noone who saw how he tanked it the last 2 or 3 years he was with the Colts would ever doubt how little hard work and passion for the game means to Faulk. His psychology on this point is unmistakable.

Why subject yourself to slow drip water torture?
I recommend:
Turn on TV one minute before game starts....turn off TV when game is over.......and live a normal life the other 21 hours on game day. Golf, jog, read, have a go with your partner....anything but NFL "filler"....
One minute spent viewing pregame / post game boobery is one minute too many. If 3 hours isn't enough, DVR the game and review the actual tape instead of relying on prejudiced boobs with axes to grind.
Exactly what I do, no pre or post game idiocy for me and my brain thanks me for it.

Good point, I didn't even think about that.

Tomorrow Faulk will be saying that the Colts never even called that formation. He'll charge that the Patriots intercepted the radio signal going to the Colt with the receiver in his helmet (see Tomlin, Mike) and told them to line up in that asinine set.

I wouldn't know that this happened. I cancelled that ****bag network after America's Game aired and I recorded it.

So you recorded America's Game then cancelled NFLN before Do Your Job premiered the next night??????

I saw "Do Your Job" online, so it's no loss.

An Indianapolis player would have said, Duh???

Rex would have liked it if a Buffalo player jumped offsides or if the Bills had too many men on the field, as it would have shown how much "spirit" his team had.. Rex likes his team to have "spirit"!!!

Marshall Faulk is going to talk out of his @$$ after every Patriot game and spew out his make believe ideas of how the Patriots cheated with not one bit of evidence

"Maybe a Patriots player yelled 'hut'. Maybe Belichick intercepted the other teams radio signals. Perhaps Amendola is taping razor blades to his pads. It's possible that Gronk is a robot built by Ernie Adams"

HUT!! HUT!!

Did I just make anyone do anything historically stupid??
