We're On To the Jets!

Amazing how much better the Jets are without Rex. Rex is destroying the Bills
I have to admit I'm a little surprised how much worse Ryan seems to have gotten. Instead of learning from his mistakes--number one on that list playing down the bluster--he seems to have doubled down on them. At the same time, it seems that the league has figured out his defense and he's not continuing to adapt. Fiery wreck taking place there.

I would think at Broncos, and AT Jets is tougher.

Yes, but what we are agreeing is that our 3 toughest games this year are against the jets and denver. I agree with you that this game is the 3rd toughest.

I don't know if we really know who the Jets are at this point. Through five games they're 4-1, but the 'best' team they've beaten is Indy during the early stretch where Luck was horrific. The Browns are league average at absolute best, they caught the Phins at the perfect implosion time, and they lost to the Eagles. Revis seems like he's being torched for a TD at least once a week. Fitzpatrick hasn't had to face a single good defense, Philly's is the best (statistically) of the bunch and they held the Jets to 7 points in the first half in building a 24-7 lead; Fitzpatrick threw 3 INT's.

I'm not saying they're not a quality opponent, because they are. That D-line is fearsome, Ivory and Marshall present tough, tough matchups for the Pats and they're a well coached team. What I am saying is that it's hard to make sense of this Jets team, so it'll be mighty interesting to see how the game plays out. Do we seriously have to consider the NYJ a threat to the division this season, or will they be exposed as a mediocre team taking advantage of a soft early schedule? Time will tell...

Jets are probably the toughest games left. Broncos are tough but their offense doesn't worry me much. If the OL plays good in that game we should be ok. Jets have exactly what can hurt us. Strong rb, good DL, good secondary. Pray to god we stay healthy and all guys nicked up can come back strong down the stretch.

I agree and this is a pretty big game next Sunday. Win and we should be 8-0 heading into the Giants game with at least a two game lead in the division.

Jets have arguably an even weaker schedule than us going forward.

This game will be a too-close, physical, and not particularly well-played pain in the ass.

Jets are an average team who have had a ridiculously easy schedule. It will be 30-13 en route to a 7-9 or 8-8 Jets season.

How many of you predicted Colts game would be a blowout?

This pats team will win SB baring any significant injures. Whatever jets game plan is, BB will adjust at halftime and make them look bad. The jets may hang on early but the final score won't be close.

S Richardson said the Jets are licking their chops at the thought of facing the Patriots.

Hmmmm: BIGGEST GAME OF THE YEAR SO FAR.
Again why isn't this guy sitting out another four games? the Omissioner has been very quick to act in the past when it comes to off the field issues concerning criminal behavior.

HUGE game coming up, winner leads division. Going to be tough at full strength but injuries are going to make it a lot tougher. Winner wins by 1 possession or less

I am looking forward to Ryan making Decker his ***** again. That game in Foxboro in 2013 vs Denver was a good game for him, and Peyton was leading a record breaking offense at the time. I expect him to have the same kind of success against Decker, with Fitzpatrick as his QB.

I like our chances at home. They are surprising to say the least. Lets look who they played.
Havent really played any decent offenses IMO. They knocked out McNown week 1, Beat a struggling Luck and Indy, Lost to Philly, Beat a team who packed it in Miami in London, beat Washington who has a ton of injuries.

Meh.

FWIW they do lead the league in Rushing yds per game so I think it all starts there. You gotta make Fitzy beat you.

At this point the Jets have the best defense in the NFL. If the Pats can put up 30 that would be a good accomplishment.
They've faced McKown (sp?), a bad Andrew Luck, Bradford, Tannehill and Cousins. Pretty easy to play D when you aren't worried about the opposing QB.

BIGGEST GAME OF THE YEAR SO FAR.
As above this will be the Jets fans's Super Bowl.

Fitzpatrick hasn't had to face a single good defense,
True, and when he does, he'll be the same old Fitzy.

I agree that their D has faced lesser teams. I just think they are very good.

Don't get me wrong....Pats will still hang 30 on them.

Well, as much praise as Denver's defense has received, the Jets have probably faced better teams/offenses and they are currently ranked 1st in yards/game allowed and in PPG allowed. I always thought the Jets would be a tougher match up for us than Denver.

You gotta respect the jets as a team. These guys play very physical. Anyone who thinks this game will be a blowout might be wrong. I wished it was.

Gonna be a good game and tough. Hopefully lafell can make a couple contributions.

Considering it is at home you probably need to figure the Patriots will win but Denver and the Jets might be the 2 best Ds in the NFL. The offense needs to be on its game.

Not just scoring points but not allowing turnovers and cheap points.

Dion lewis should be involved out of the backfield in this game. He needs touches
