MUST HEAR: Tom Brady's Workout playlist

Robert Alvarez

Ever wanted to know what kind of music Tom Brady listens to during his weekly workouts leading up to Sunday' Well now is your chance.

Social media is confusing to me and not my demographic, but cannot figure out the playlist.. Otis Redding?? Probably not "Sitting by the dock of the bay".... or "Tenderness".

Jay-Z and Kanye West made a collaboration album together a few summers ago, and used a sample of Otis' work, that's all.

In other words, it's a rap track, and "creatively" named "Otis." ;)

Ugh, I wish I had never seen this playlist. Way "poppier" than I'd have expected. I could listen to the "Serial" podcast and get more pumped up.

To each his own, Tom Terrific.

My running MP3 list contains Rare Earth, Three Dog Night, Elton John, Joe Walsh, and Boston. U2 is the only common thread. Made me realize how old I am...

and in a way, how grateful. LOL

Can't see the article, but that stuff can be extremely different and it's where your true musical tastes can come out. What gets you fired up?

My long, slow run playlist is very different from my sprinting or lifting playlist. I just listen to comedy podcasts when I ruck.

I'm surprised Brady listens to as much house music as he does. He's got some bangers on there.

Iv'e got "Runaway" on my playlist as well. It's a good one to start jogging to.

Oh yeah? House is good for running IMO

I love house music as a whole so I listen to it, dubstep, trap, etc. when I run and lift.

What's this playlist thingy?

Brady's playlist above.

A few additions in honor of Andrew Luck, Irsay and the Dolts:

"Ape Man" by the Kinks
"Addict With A Pen" by Invubu
"The Mayor of Simpleton" by XTC
"Crack Addict" by Limp Biskit
"Rat Trap" by the Boomtown Rats
and of course,
"That Smell" by Lynard Skynard

I tend to like the dubstep and trap and such for driving and lifting occasionally, but yeah, house music is a good time.

Did anyone click on the "Brady workout playlist" link? This man has the musical taste of a 13 year old inner city girl.

Not to mention - of all the songs in the U2 catalog, Vertigo? Did he not realize the tongue in cheek ironic opportunity of Sunday Bloody Sunday, or the fact that his stadium plays Elevation every time he throws a TD pass?

It's not my taste or preference - but I can completely "get" that as some music to get pumped up by

I'm just not typically preparing for an NFL game day as a starting QB - but if I was I'd definitely give that playlist a try ;)

It's work out music, I have footloose tracks on mine. I don't care if a songs corny for a workout, I just want something upbeat.

However, it's probably BS anyways. Isn't every song contemporary?

What probably happened is to promote these songs this company cut a deal and paid Brady to agree say these are his songs so they can promote them. Brady probably had little involvement other than to say, sure- you can say that's what I listen to.
