You know you are a Patriots fan, when you think Matt Damon is TB left behind where its 0.00125 PSI and the Mission Director responsible is Goodell.

...when you watch The Martian, and KNOW Matt Damon was method acting the hero as Tom Brady...and the villain that would just as soon let him stay suspended on Mars, look and decide.

The NASA commissioner in the movie

Matt Damon deflates his spacesuit at least twice in the movie.

If you think there is something to this, read what Damon says about DeflateGate www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/movies/matt-damon-talks-deflategate-martian-article-1.2372145

You think you have a good shot at 19-0 every year
You believe Pats will pull out the win no matter how the game is going
Your Monday mood is directly correlated to Sunday's result

...you struggled through the tough years and could still say "Go Pats!"

...you can remind people of how great of a player John Hannah was.

...still like the colonial guy in the old logo.

...you're not worried about having all top #10 picks to win.

...don't get as exited about the draft- as other fans -because you know BB is going to pick players off your radar and they will probably work out better.

...will pass on a Bruins game because the Pats are on at the same time.

...when people hear your accent and bring up the Patriots.

...spend time in the patsfans.com forum.

I am a bit younger than you i guess but I saw a few tough years and do remember a few pre-bledsoe seasons though not many

I never got to see Hannah play live but watched a few older games was very very good :)

I have a jacket that has the old logo. Beat up but i will never get rid of it.

Draft is a crap shoot we all know but I'd rather have a high pick then low pick but know talent alone does not a championship team make!

I am super excited about the draft but don't get all up about a lot of players other guys do. I enjoy many of the surprises BB gives us and think it is bad fantasy football think is so ingrained in drafting (WRs and RBs talked about way too much)

Bruins are my 2nd fav team! Of course Pats take priority though.

From NH :p We don't have much of an accent usually.

That last one... way too much time. lol

I went to college in Waltham. My fraternity used to run one of the concession stands during Pats games....until we ended up on double-secret probation and eventually lost our charter. I can remember having to get up early to get to Sullivan Stadium...not easy on a Sunday morning, after a late Saturday night. When it slowed down, we'd just grab a seat and watch the game. There were no Championship banners then and the whole "Sox haven't won since 1918" thing was still looming.

When I was working out West, meeting up with Sox/Pats/Bs/Celts fans was always a treat. It's really something to drown out the home crowd. Interestingly, many of the broadcasting channels do their best to hide that stuff. So, if I added one more to the list it would be keeping the New England thing going on, even though one is not in New England.

When your not afraid to say you hate Roger Goodell, ESPN, and Ted Wells.

You're very concerned who is the 53rd player on the roster ...

You know any of the practice squad players are ready to chip in when needed.

... your first Pats T-Shirt was a really poor quality Squish the Fish T-shirt, red and thin.

... went to the Providence Airport(Green) after work on Sunday nite and waited for the Patriots charter in 1985, hoping to get a glimpse of the team.

... would line the ropes at Bryant College when they had training camp there to try to get autographs, and when you saw John Hannah's thighs you said holy crap..

... every year would wait for the Penney Christmas Catalog and Sears Wish Book to see if they had any Patriots gear.. and only woud find stuff for Chicago, Dallas, Oakland, New York Giants and a few others..

... when I used to come to work on Sundays would always become nauseated by the Giants, Jets and Dolphins fans in their butt ugly "puff" coats.. the puke green coats of the Jets/Dolphins made me throw up a little bit in my mouth

... listening to the radio to hear Patriots Games was a way of life, as we were always blacked out at home.

Many kids would actually get other team jackets and stuff because they liked the colours/logo better. In addition, their teams did well; had won it all at least once. Yeah, Miami was very popular with Bob Greise and CO...and their aqua/orange gear. We were like that expansion team that was just lucky to be in the league. And I didn't even like football then, but I accepted all of the town teams. Yeah, everyone knew who the Celts were. The B's were leaving the Bobby Orr days. And the Sox ruled, even though N.E. was still waiting...since 1918!

Ultimately, most N.E. fans were a bit indifferent about the Pats back then, except for the hardcore football fans. The emphasis was always on the Celts, B's and Sox. So, Mr. Kraft & Company have done an outstanding job changing the sports scenery in the area. When there was chatter about the Pats moving, a lot of people didn't really care..just sayin'. He did and took it personally. Then he built them up with his team.

And yeah, I remember that N.E. Pats gear was minimal. However, that older logo seemed to encapsulate a lot of the reported history in the area...some colonial warrior hiking a football. That's New England, man- all 6 states! :D

You silently react ordering your fast food when the order number is 87

when you go to an italian super market with a red knit hat with Pat Patriot logo, with a red sweatshirt also with Pat Patriot on it and wife is smiling, shaking his head knowing that there is nothing to do anymore...:)

You walk around downtown Pittsburgh near the stadium with a Gronkowski jersey on--and no gun in your pocket.
I was in Pittsburgh, the "flea market" section down by the river, with my Patriots hoody and cap on. A young guy in a Steeler jersey simply looked at me and said:"The Patriots are cheaters.". I replied, "Tell me how they cheat?". He walked away! :D

...you remember Myra having more balls than Bob.
