Did Cowboys set defensive blueprint for how to beat Patriots?

Every year some team stymies the Patriots and sets a blueprint. Browns, Jets, Cardinals. Pats still scoring.

That guy is a moron. A blueprint? The Cowboys set a blueprint on how to get their asses handed to then fit 3 quarters. That's it...the pats adjusted...and the Cowboys got their blueprint sent back to the architect because the Pats let them know the building was going to fall down. ...

I guess we are headed for a good season when winning only 30-6 is a shocking surprise and a disappointing effort by the patriots.

The Patriots can definitely be beat and someone is going to do it but this is as good a start as I have ever seen them get off to and if they improve the way they usually do over the course of a season then they are going to be extremely tough to beat in the playoffs. They have a pretty glaring weakness at CB but other than that this team is deep and versatile and can adapt and adjust better than any team in the league. It will be interesting to see if they make a move for a quality CB before the trade deadline.

3 teams in the NFl are averaging >30/game. The Pats put up 30. Answer is...no.

Dallas has some of the D horses you need to keep the Pats relatively in check - Hardy, Lee, McClain, Jones - with good match-ups. They caught the Pats off-guard for a bit, and the bye-week isn't an advantage with the new practice rules like it used to be.

Kudos to the Dallas D coordinator and D in general for giving them a chance in the first half. I think when Romo and Bryant are back, this Dallas team could certainly compete for the NFC crown and will be formidable.

But the teams who should worry about "blueprints" are teams with certain uneposed tendencies who PLAY the Pats.

Ask the D of the 2-and-3 Seahawks, or Andy Luck, for example.

Ever notice there are never articles on ESPN, SI, or any other site about how to slow down/stop Aaron Rodgers or anyone else having a big year, but as soon as the Patriots show any sign of struggle, there are like six articles the next week with analysts jumping up and down claiming they have the blueprint?

I guess forcing Rodgers into three turnovers means nothing but having Brady light you up for a passer rating around 135 is the blueprint on how to stop him.

Yea its pretty insulting how obvious they are about it too.. as long as we keep winning it won't matter, because if we lose the media is going to make it miserable to be a Patriot fan

Consider that one of the reasons why the Pats schemes are so hard to learn is due to their flexibility. My bet is that BB will keep them guessing.

I suppose that getting 5 sacks a half would likely help defeat the patriots.

In what world is holding a team to 30 points a blue print to success?

let's not get ****y. boys game proved that we are human. gotta stay humble and hungry

The same firm came up with the blueprint for this building...

I think they provided a blue print on how to hold the Patriots offense to just 30 points…

What was Dallas' blueprint? Sell out on the pass rush for the 1st half, then lie down and hope Brady plays nice during the 2nd half?

If you cover all the receivers and get to the QB and also stop the run you can stop the Patriots offense. But don't tell anyone, it's a secret.

The point being missed is that the pats offense had time to adjust and put up 30. There was no pressure on them because of weeden. If we fell behind 10-0 vs that cowboys defense that day, we couldve been in big trouble. The defensive blueprint was good enough from dallas. Not complimentary unfortunately.
