Way to go, Benny! I wonder if he'll retire a Saint.

It definitely did.. oh well
Think about if they had gotten the call right, and the Pats ended up winning that game. Would have been legendary. Hell, there's a feature about it anyway and ultimately the play was meaningless.

He was a good contributor here though at the time I thought he could have been more. Happy that he is still around and having some success elsewhere.

I really liked Benjamin Watson when he was with the Pats. He played hard and was very physically gifted. He wasn't as reliable a pass-catcher as he could have been, but it's clear that he's worked on that over the years. He was also an an exceptionally intelligent and thoughtful person, so I'm very happy for him that he's having such a successful later part of his career.

Scored a 48 on the Wonderlic. Smart dude. Learning the offense here was not the issue.

Only he, Graham, LoMo and Big Bang Clock are the only 1st round picks not to get a 2nd contract after his 1st one was expiring in a 2 years or less in the BB era.

CLE gave him $12m. Pats weren't touching that. Same for Danny.

Ben Watson seems like a classy human being. When he was here, he was one of my favorite Patriots. Worked hard and is a great family man (there were a couple of lifestyle pieces on him at the time and I remember thinking 'This guy has it all in perspective').

The Patriots and BB truly screwed with him and his agent on making him sign a 6 year rookie contract. They practically went to court about it and it diminished his earning capacity. Sometime bad things happen to good people.

He is a good cat er ah kid...

good for watson and wow vintage Brees last night

Watson has a load of talent. Probably should have had a better career than he did to be honest.

He showed last night what he can do when it all comes together for him.

Well, the ref that day was Jeff "I am a f**king incompetent moron" Triplette, so would you expect anything otherwise?

They probably would have gotten screwed against the steelers anyways.. No way the league was going to let the pats 3peat over Jerome bettis' fairwell tour..
