Sure, there are VALID questions about this Guerrero character, but much of the nutritional info Brady was talking about this morning is basic truth.

I think the irony for the two old guys who have spent significant time on the IR list from their radio gigs the past few years went over their flat little heads.

Damn is he seriously passionate about this stuff or what? They weren't kidding when they say his voice changes a bit when this topic comes up. He almost inspires me to walk the nutritional path.........but then an hour later im stuffing my face with a poptart and a bag of smartfood, breakfast of champions!

I was at Salem State when Brady spoke and when he talked about his post-football life he mentioned going around to schools etc. and preaching healthy habits to children. Very passionate about it.

Also: Smartfood is awesome.

jeez, another ridiculous interview with those guys.
i wonder how much brady gets paid to go on that show. lol

Can someone plz summarize what he says about nutrition?

Dennis and Callahan: "Our four basic food groups are fat, sugar, caffeine and alcohol...

...not in that order. LMAO!!!!"

As a fortysomething woman (I never reveal my age), I can tell you that nutrition is VERY IMPORTANT as you age. I don't know what his exact diet is, but I do know that as I got older, I started to eat better. I don't eat out at all. I cook everything myself. It's made a difference in my overall health. As you age, you have to take better care of your health. It's that simple. What Brady is talking about is not magic. It's a commitment to watch what you eat. I do that everyday.
I look younger than I really am. It's amazing and irritating at the same time.

Having worked in the nutritional world for the better part of a decade, it still blows my mind how few athletes take these steps.

They will go to the furthest extreme possible, and yet still forget the very basics of sleep, nutrition and water intake. It isn't a huge surprise that Brady is aging as well as he is if his eating regimen is as strict as his training.

Don't eat garbage. You'll have more energy and live longer if you eat right.
But what did he say about supplements?

Can someone give a more thorough summary I can't listen to interview at work

As someone already mentioned, the transcript is like this, it is truly a piece of crap:

I rarely listen to D & C, but I was home today and was looking forward to some football talk; however, it was not to be because Minihan was so fixated on the Boston Magazine article and just couldn't let it go. Maybe the story has some legitimacy--I don't know, but after seven months plus of Deflategate, I'd just like to talk about the game for a change.

Good thing they have that super-precise transcript there for those of us who can't play audio at their work desks...

I'm taking courses to become a translator of "Drunk".

I haven't read the Boston Magazine article, but evidently it centers on the understandable problem one might have if this Guerrroro character 1) passed himself off in public as an M.D. and 2) claimed his good nutrition regimen cured cancer.

I don't know the particulars of the situation, but if he did those two things, then that is obviously not ok.

Brady should just shut up about this situation in public (instead of joking that Willie Mac did indeed call Guerrero "Doc"). When he talks general nutrition he is convincing. However, when he defends Guerrero in this particular situation, he sounds like the "Deer in the Headlights Tom" from the Thursday after the AFCCG.

As someone already mentioned, the transcript is like this, it is truly a piece of crap:

Basically, Tom said that the supplements he is taking are "green supplements" or, as he put it, vegetables.

As for the Guerrero character. I am not aware of his history at all, but if what he said was that healthy life-choices would reduce the risk of getting cancer, he would be right. If he sold products claiming that would CURE cancer, now, that's quackery. But as Tom said, past mistakes are past mistakes.

I'm in AZ but have Boston stuff on my phone streaming or Comcast on TV etc. The thought was brought up to me by people that have seen some stuff that the media in Boston as a whole are incredibly toxic, especially to their own teams. Borderline insane. It's much, much different here in AZ regarding their sports teams. I'm

It's cultural. College towns are more rah-rah than pro towns.

You can hear the podcast at weei.com after work. Brady doesn't believe that Western medicine has all the answers. He wants to pursue the nutritional and lifestyle advocated by Guerreo.

I emailed the program director at WEEI about this, not sure if I will get a response.. however found the schtick of Tanguay and Tomase really over the edge.. my wife was out and about and she could not believe the vitriol by those two idiots..

If I get a response will post it.. sports radio is getting more and more dead to me..
