Has To Be Said Again: ESPN Boston Is Ruined And Getting Worse

I've been working on our news feed for a while, which includes ESPN Boston (Patriots Only content - I've filtered out the rest), CSNNE, MassLive, Yahoo! Sports (Patriots only - as much as I can filter it), Providence Journal, NESN, WEEI, Boston.com, WEEI, ProFootballTalk (Patriots Only) and Football By Football. So I think that covers it:

http://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/news/ or the "News" link as others have mentioned.

The Patriots.com feed has been an issue and I'm working on cleaning that up a little and it will be included back in as well. Obviously let me know if you have anything else you might want, but most of it should be here.

Well done. Whatever you did , it worked. I noticed a while back the news content got a lot more comprehensive, timely and the articles on point. I pretty much now use it solely as my daily jump off point for Pats news. It's also great when interacting with the forum, and you can spot new and/or related articles of interest.

I wants Pats info, I come here and scan the first page of threads. I have no desire to contribute clicks or anything for that matter to ESPN.

Yes, you're missing the fact that when you click on the link for Pats stuff, you likely as not get s whole bunch of crap that is NOT Pats related stuff.
I saw some fantasy football stuff w Dion Lewis mentioned. Is that what you are referring to?

Tonight on NFL Network they had three "Football Life" episodes in a row related to the Cowboys. The day before the Patriots play them.
Actually that is good programing. They get more viewers when the Cowboys are still relevant. :)

I think Bill Simmons, Mike Reiss, Matt Chatham and Tedy Bruschi should come together and create the ultimate Pats site. Imagine that!

Why just a Patriots site? How about a national site for people who like Football and don't like bullsh*t?

I'd also add Pat Kirwin to the mix. I really like his "Real Football Network."

As cable goes the way of the dinosaur, I'd love to see that crap network BSPN become marginalized like MTV did after it stopped playing music.

My only exposure to ESPN these days is when I have absolutely, positively no other choice because they have exclusive rights to something I want to watch. Other than that, Phuck 'em.

Winner. I won't use ESPN for anything unless I have absolutely no other choice. They are the NFL's Pravda. Their initial report on last seasons AFCCG read "COLTS FINISH SECOND IN AFCCG, patriots finish next to last."

I'm down to the watching games and this site. The fallout from framegate for me has been no desire to be a superfan at least for this year. No ESPN, no fantasy, no non-Patriots games, no merchandise. It's not a boycott so much as just losing my desire for those things.

Wouldn't it be ironic to have most people from New England boycott ESPN; get their infos from elsewhere; and be better informed? And forums like this make it so. :D

I used to read Mike Reiss everyday, but now I hardly go there at all. It's too bad they've ruined the site with a ton of clutter.

Thanks. I went in and tried to fill in the blanks that we were missing, although a couple of those sites don't seem to have an rss feed anymore - and they didn't answer my requests to obtain one - so I had to code out ways to grab them manually. The goal was to make it a place for everyone to be able to find all the news from everywhere a little quicker and to make sure it was timely and it's getting there :)

Wouldn't really be ironic lol, but they should. I've been pushing the **** the trolls trolley for a while.
