My once go to source for easy (keyword EASY) access to Pats info has been just ruined by the network. Amazing they could take the first redo from months ago and screw it up more than it had been. They mix in so much junk from other teams/sports you can't even track down the latest from crack reporter Mike Reiss without scrolling a bunch of unwanted headlines. Do a foolish thing like click on one of Mike's entries and the next set of headlines to choose from have NO relation to the Pats blog at all. Stunning incompetence.

I said at the time of the first awful redo of the site that the folks responsible had worked over a site they apparently never visited. Now I'm convinced of the fact. ESPN extended their misguided style change to their main site which also now as jumbled and difficult to navigate as the ESPNBoston site has become. I know it's easy to wish ill on the network as they clearly have a bias against the Pats. Regardless, ESPNBoston, when the Pats blog was just Reiss and Field Yates (and Rodak before him) was tight and focused and on the money. Click on the Pats blog now and a Mississippi State v. Auburn preview is as likely to pop up as an actual Pats note. You could hardly find the inactive list two weeks ago. Previously, it was exactly the kind of thing I'd always go right to ESPNBoston to quickly find out. Now, I reluctantly look elsewhere. What a shame, because no one has stepped up to fill in the messy vacuum ESPN has created.

Friggin horrible ....

I used to use the story headings and read if I felt interested on any of my local teams ... all 5 of them.
Now I open it and I'm like WTF is this ........ horrible. Undoubtedly designed by some web nerd who does not even follow sports but is designed to increase revenue for ESPN.

Relying more on: http://www.csnne.com/ for a quick story link when I have a few minutes.

Current lead stories on my ESPN Boston page:
Only 1 story I care about which I got more info on this story from our thread here.
Top article on Bowling Green ... WTF ..REALLY!!!

I said at the time of the first awful redo of the site that the folks responsible had worked over a site they apparently never visited. Now I'm convinced of the fact. ESPN extended their misguided style change to their main site which also now as jumbled and difficult to navigate as the BESPN site has become. I know it's easy to wish ill on the network as they clearly have a bias against the Pats. Regardless, BESPN, when the Pats blog was just Reiss and Field Yates (and Rodak before him) was tight and focused and on the money. Click on the Pats blog now and a Mississippi State v. Auburn preview is as likely to pop up as an actual Pats note. You could hardly find the inactive list two weeks ago. Same here. Now I just click on the NEWS tab of this Forum and you get a list of the latest Pats/Boston related articles from multiple sources. I use Twitter to follow the reporters I am interested in and in the main Pats home forum there is a twitter feed at the top that has linked many of the Patriot reporters and player twitter feeds.

The BSPN web site isn't even visually comfortable any longer. There is crap everywhere.

Question: What is BESPN? I've seen BSPN but not BESPN. thanks

I love Reiss, but OP is right. It's getting downright unbearable to go there.

Again, i truly appreciate Reiss. He is one of the best journalists out there and it hurts me to see his talents being wasted like this

I was thinking of starting a thread of the same thing. I, too, used to go there first for my Patriots news. Now, I rarely go there. Just awful.

Trying to be see both sides here...

When you launch espnboston.com you get the front page of everything. BC, HS football, UMass, scores on the left, etc.

When I want Pats stuff, I click on the Pats link on the top.

Am I missing something?

If their goal is to provide a single pane of glass for all sports-related content for the region they have accomplished that.

@RelocatedPatFan - nice job....just bookmarked you :D

I don't believe that they're a reliable Entertainment and Sports Programming Network any more. I hardly ever view anything that they have to offer and I don't miss it one bit. Try it. You'll like it.

Never look at it so I wouldn't even notice. Cut the cord!

BSPN is just trying to force parity on it's readers.

Now you all know what fans of other teams feel like like they click on articles about their local teams and have to read about losers.

Yeah, I don't go there anymore. Haven't in several months. Unreadable.

I look forward to wherever Mike Reiss lands next. He is excellent.

I read Reiss, ignore the rest. Thanks for patslinks.

This changed months ago. Move on.

Tonight on NFL Network they had three "Football Life" episodes in a row related to the Cowboys. The day before the Patriots play them.

I've been working on our news feed for a while, which includes ESPN Boston (Patriots Only content - I've filtered out the rest), CSNNE, MassLive, Yahoo! Sports (Patriots only - as much as I can filter it), Providence Journal, NESN, WEEI, Boston.com, WEEI, ProFootballTalk (Patriots Only) and Football By Football. So I think that covers it:

http://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/news/ or the "News" link as others have mentioned.

The Patriots.com feed has been an issue and I'm working on cleaning that up a little and it will be included back in as well. Obviously let me know if you have anything else you might want, but most of it should be here.

I've stopped using ESPN.com on my laptop entirely. It's more difficult to navigate, and for some reason it saps my computer of memory. I only use the mobile counterpart now, which is much easier to navigate. I'll do it right in front of my computer.

Yes, you're missing the fact that when you click on the link for Pats stuff, you likely as not get s whole bunch of crap that is NOT Pats related stuff.
