Allen -
2015 IND 3 4 38 12.7 9.5 0 1

Chandler -
2015 NE 3 6 49 16.3 8.2 0 1

Similar numbers. I'd give the edge to Chandler for being a "better" redzone target though.

Yes...but Jean Claude Van Damme is disturbing me

Pats have top 5 player in a lot of positions

Qb -Brady (Goat)
Rb - Lewis (production wise)
Te - Gronk (Goat)
K - Gost
Fs - D Mc
Lb - Collins
Rt - Seabass
St - Slater
Returner - Je11

Top 10
Wr - Je11
P - Allen
De - Jones
Lb - Hightower
Lt - Solder

Made up awards (depth)
Best 3rd Wr - Dola
Best 2nd Te - Chandler
Best 3rd Lb - Mayo
Best backup Rb - Blount

Almost seems unfair
I am as big a homer as the next poster but some of your ranks are aggressive. Lewis has to do it for more than 3 games, and with a target on his back. Blount is not the best backup RB in the NFL, because he is not a backup, Lewis the receiving back he is the early down between the tackle back. Chandler is one of the better backup TEs but there are several good #2 TEs in the NFL – Green, Lewis, Paul, Celek, and Allen to name a few. Amendola is not the best #3 WR in the NFL, he is a slot WR, a solid slot WR, but he cannot provide the versatility needed to qualify as a true #3 WR, you would compare him to players like Beasley who are complementary players. Mayo I have to see more of and make sure he can be the player he was prior to the injury.

Best in the NFL at their position – Brady, Gronkowski, Gostkowski, Slater

Top 10 in the NFL at their position – Vollmer, Collins, Hightower, Stork (when healthy), McCourty, Allen, Develin (when healthy)

Top 20 in the NFL at their position – Edelman, Solder, Siliga, Chung, Butler, Lewis, Blount, Cha. Jones

People may disagree with Siliga or Chung being top 20 but name 20 NTs or SS who are better than them and I would be surprised. Stork is a top 10 OC when he is healthy, without question.

Players on the rise – Butler, Lewis, Andrews, Easley, Sheard.

But he refused to turn over his phone :) Funny how many kickers are struggling now that PSI levels are enforced.

Kicking balls were and still are regulated by the NFL. PSIgate has nothing to do with it.

According to mazz gost isnt good because he hasnt taken many game winning kicks

That's like saying Garoppolo must suck because he hasn't already replaced Brady.

Jimmy Graham is the best #2 TE in the NFL and it is not even a question...

This season will be interesting.

9 kickers this year who have yet to miss a FG or XP. Gost is one.

Going to be interesting to see how they all finish the year.

Mazz is an absolute moron. He wrote an article about how bill o brien should replace BB when he goes. Obviously this was during hard knocks since mazz is an absolute moron who is completely buys into everything and everyone that gets national attention at that particular time.

Bill's stance was that the extra point had become so "automatic" that it served no purpose. He recommended that you either eliminate it entirely or make it more difficult. Since the change, he expanded and said it's a play where some cheap shots are taken. Wasn't it a PAT when Gronk got his arm broken?
I think they should move it back a little closer. A 25yd pat is a lil nerve racking even for mr automatic

I'm afraid our next kicker will not be so automatic and then the new PAT rule will come back to bite us.

My only disagreement is actually Blount. Not only do I think he IS our #2, I think he's not close to the best in the league at it. He has three types of games: dominant, not many yards but some TDs (last week), and invisible. The first two are flashy so I think he gets overrated.

Don't get me wrong, I love when he's on, but it's not that often. While on the Pats, he's been a pretty steady 700-800 yards per season guy (did it in 2013 and would have in 2014 if you prorate). To me, that sounds like a complementary player who sometimes has a big role and sometimes has none at all.

I'm afraid our next kicker will not be so automatic and then the new PAT rule will come back to bite us.

If that happens, we'll still come out ahead for having had Gostkowski so long + Belichick might not even be around by then, so it won't really "come back" to anybody except the fans who remember.

Please stop adding comments such as this one...when we are talking about the integrity of the game, it is best if we leave the facts, research, and logic behind.

Come on, this is the integrity of the game here.

Obviously Adam Vinatieri is one of the most clutch, reliable kickers of all-time, and it's amazing he still so accurate at his age. However, the fact he can't even do kickoffs in a dome due to lack of leg strength should disqualify him from discussions of best current kicker. He hasn't done kickoffs since 2008. It's a huge handicap...the Colts cover it up because their punters can boom kickoffs, but if he were a free agent, you'd probably need to sign a new punter as well, or watch him kickoff far below average in distance in height, leading to a high KO return average from opponents.

Broadcasters and pundits never consider this.

I still remember the hate-fest threads for Gost when he was missing an occasional 40 yarder a couple of seasons back. Maybe the posts about getting rid of Gost will finally stop now that people realize he is actually awesome.

Nahhhhh.... who am I kidding.

Gost is awesome. I do think that is the main reason bill made the PAT suggestion. He has a kicker he trusts completely. I think the only time ghost lost his trust was after the cardinals game, but he won it back quickly.
I don't think BB saw the absolute meltdown in kicker confidence extending into FGs, but yeah...

This game is the battle of the two best kickers in the NFL.
Are you a colt fan here early? :) (Just kidding, friendly guff.)
