It’s been a challenging first quarter of the season for the Colts, but coach Chuck Pagano isn’t showing it.

Following Thursday’s 27-20 win over the Texans, Pagano was asked about his confidence level in his team heading into a Week 6 battle against the Patriots, who who undoubtedly will enter the game as heavy favorites.

“Supremely confident,” Pagano said (via ProFootballTalk.com).
...
It should be noted that Pagano said two weeks ago that he had “supreme confidence” that Andrew Luck would not miss a game despite an injury, and Luck has not appeared in the team’s two games since. The team said Luck had a shoulder injury, but there are rumors that it’s his ribs.

“I would not bet against [No.] 12. Ever,” Pagano told reporters Sept. 30, after Luck missed most of practice. “I have supreme confidence that he’ll play.”

Sorry, Chuck. Tom Brady's coming, and Hell is coming with him.

Why wouldn't he be? They did draft another WR ...

Was that WR playing last night? Don't remember hearing his name.

I don't know what barely beating two bad teams like the Jags and Texans would give him supreme confidence to beat the Pats. I know Luck was out (although Hasselbeck has outplayed Luck this season), but neither the Jags or Texans have the offense or (as crazy as this sounds in the Texans' case) the defense that the Pats' have.

I'm surpremely confident that Blount is going to eclipse 100 yards rushing and 2 TD's by the start of the third quarter.

Colts message board put up the Colts Pats thread http://forums.colts.com/topic/41179-the-official-colts-vs-patriots-thread/

Great comments were in there right away:
  1. I predict 600 yards of offense for NE
  2. We're going to get destroyed.
  3. We're gonna get crushed
  4. Brian Hoyer had like 5 mins to throw the damn ball. I'm terrified to see what Brady is gonna do to our D...
  5. I honestly expect Brady to embarrass our defense next week
  6. Im nervous. Our secondary sucked tonight
Unfortunately they locked the thread down and only members can see it now.

Maybe he is basing this on the atrociously one-sided officiating of last night?
Yeah, that really was horrible.

In general the games this year have been freaking TORTURED because of excessive ticky-tac penalties being called. It's really slowing things down and just making it go the pace of a preseason game really killing the energy. Last night was one of the worst, as it seemed like they were basically trying to kill the Texans/help the Dolts.

Lmao. Supremely confident in what? 4 bail out calls per drive to gift wrap a td and negate an int? His defense collapsing for 75 points and 475 on the ground? 4 tds for gronk? Psycho Tom at his best, wild eyed, energized, and looking for blood? 3 sacks by Collins, a pick each by Butler and Harmon? 6 man lines and repeatedly running the same two run plays for a 6 play 80 yard scoring drive, 3 times?

Not to overlook the cowdouches, but Indy will be lucky to hold us under 60 the way they are playing. Look forward to the confidence boost of Butler shutting down Johnson singled up.

I'm expecting more of an aerial attack. The Colts pass defense has been worse this year than their run defense and Hoyer just ripped them with, basically, one WR.
