Wow. (1) surprised by "no benching after fumbles" and (2) by length of deal (3) by the cheap $$$ for a young (yet injured recently) player

I'd like to ask @Miguel , I'm sure he's talked about this in other threads, but what does the cap outlook look like for next offseason?

Please follow me on Twitter - @patscap

My profile says "Pats in good shape for 2016"

Just for the record, I happened to see one of the NFLN writers do a one quarter All Pro list. As usual not much from the Pats. Brady, McCourty and Collins were all "also mentioned", but only ONE made the "first team" Dion Lewis (as the "satellite RB")

Gronk was the All-Pro tight end.

wow, i was just thinking about how pats 2016 offense is set, just Dion lewis missing. Great job BB&co.
On D i d like Tarell Brown to sign. An Hicks after 4 games.

Gronk also made the first team and Gostkowski was another "also mention."

So two first-teamers and four backups, which isn't a bad sweep for a team that doesn't focus all its bucks on a few high-priced stars.

(Which reminds me how smart Belichick was to sign Gostkowski to what seemed to be a high-priced four-year deal. Suddenly he's looking cheap).

I love the signing, he's been a real special/lucky find for us!

Vereen is getting big money from the giants and hasn't done jack all year

If Lewis plays in all 16 games this year and makes his 2016/2017 incentives LTBE his 2015/2016/2017 cap numbers will be $791,240, 2.1M, and 2.5M.

Vereen is getting big money from three giants and hasn't done jack all year

You can argue if he was actually worth the money but statistically he is on the same pace of production for the Giants this year that he was for the Pats last year.

That's amazing! The team value of this guy just rose exponentially

My goodness.

LOVE the attitude of the players on the New England Patriots.

After having to hear the crap from Greg Hardy, the Buffalo Loudmouth Losers, etc.

The Patriots are on a DIFFERENT CONTINENT.

There is a reason why our team is on a 15 year roll.

Very happy for Dion. I'm sure many players have been in similar positions to him, or better ones, and wound up not earning or excelling in their next opportunity. Love it when these guys get what they've earned.

very nice, dont have a lot of UFA left for 2016 now.

And yet it still took him three years to develop into a top shelf player. You just never know.

I think Hightower was great last year. And he looked good his rookie year too when he got to be Hightower rather than Mayo. It was a lot for a rookie to learn when Mayo went down his rookie year.

This kid is good, the only issue so far are the fumbles, but I was watching some Gronk highlights from the opener yesterday and in that play he recovered the fumble, I saw the fumble from a different camera, in front of Dion, he was a little reckless during the play but in the last moment he brought the ball to his biceps and his arm glued to his body, it was just a heck of a play from the Pittsburgh player, he shoved his hand in there and stripped the ball with brutal force. Could not do it better.

And this is why he didn't get benched the next game. Have to remember that the other team is payed to make plays also

Players who are worth anything want to win, be in a professional organization and have fun with team mates with great cameraderie.

I've said it before, but you just aren't getting that on Detroit, Miami, Cleveland etc, even if you make 10 million a year.

Obviously, there's a point where you feel you just have to cash in, but it's a short career to play in misery and where are these guys going to spend 50 million anyway? Most have modest lifestyles, if they're smart.

Where you play, who you play with and winning are worth some money too.
