It will only happen when Belichick does not recommend it. I'm serious. He should get someone-else, say Bill O'Brien or whatever, to recommend it.

Belichick should forcefully come out against whatever he wants to see happen.

"Guys, whatever you do. Do NOT put cameras on the goal line, OK? We do NOT want to have the option to review every goal line play. In fact, it's totally NOT necessary. We should rely on our officials to get it right the first time."

It'd be passed in five minutes.

Well, he got the PAT rule changed. which is pretty amazing when you think about it. The most detested coach in the NFL, with the best kicker in the NFL, pushed for and got that rule changed. The power of the Hoodie at work.

That's part of the reason most teams are worried about NE proposals. They're trying to figure out what secret BB has already figured out.

On PFT Florio (was an former lawyer) came with a joke;"how can you tell when a lawyer is lying?.. When you see his lips moving"
I hadn't heard that one before

Don't think "have a really good kicker" is much of a secret... But I see your point.

Seems like a lot of teams are learning their kicker isn't as good as they thought he was.

No offense to Florio, but do we need an article to confirm every time BB is right? He's the smartest guy in football, it's not news when he says something smart.

If you want news, why not do an article whenever the Ravens go one week without whining about something, or the Colts don't **** up a trade or free agent signing, or Rex Ryan shuts the **** up for 5 minutes? Something actually new and noteworthy?

Stealing this idea from PFT comnents but, when BB retires he'd be the perfect commish.

so he could continue to be the most hated man in the NFL

Better still have Rex Ryan whine about it early and often, then for sure it would get passed.... bombasity and stupidity trumps just about everything..

FYI BB also advocated for pushing back where the Extra Point is kicked from..

The one for extending the goal posts was useful...
Yes it was good. It was obvious. Did it take 2 years with year one being test it out in the pre-season.

It would be nice to finally see the Rats punished for their many transgressions.

That's an oldie but a goodie... and it's quite adaptable... 'lawyer', 'politician', 'Roger Goodell..." :D
