Since we keep discussing Elite status, please remember that You can't spell "Elite" without "Eli"!!!:p

I am a Dallas Cowboys fan (that's the part where you scoff, roll your eyes, or express some other emotion of disgust, pity and contempt). I come mostly in peace, caffeine and confusion, but those last two are normal. Now, I use peace loosely. I probably won't bite, but if I do I have rabies and that's a 100% mortality rate if left untreated so get those shots if that happens.

I am hoping for a win. I am praying for a win. We need a win, guys. Please, can you guys lose this one? Perhaps the football gods took Lance Dunbar from us the other night as a blood sacrifice because they're giving us this game. Right? RIGHT?!?!?!?! I'll go with that. Cowboys 51 - Pats 50 confirmed. Brandon Weeden 97/108, 219 yards, 1 TD.

In all seriousness, this is the game I was looking forward to most before the season started. It would be an awesome game of Romo and Dez + defensive additions were playing. But alas, that dream has slipped and faded, rudely awoken by the sounds of cracking bones and snapping ACLs.

Speaking of ACLs, you guys don't happen to have a few of those laying around, do you? Or some clavicles?

So this will be an interesting game, I have no doubt. Blowouts are interesting. Us actually winning would be really interesting, surprising and unlikely.

We are already more injured right now than all the combined injuries of last season. It really sucks. Elite QB, #1 WR, #1 CB, Top 3 DEs on the depth chart, and LG have all missed time. It's bad.

I have no idea how the offense will look. Weeden looked much more comfortable in the empty set and that opens up some nice 1 on 1 for WRs like Beasley who will have to have a good game. I predict Bease will get most of the targets. Dunbar was Weeden's favorite target, but he's done for the year now (of course) so I assume WR Lucky Whitehead will take his role on the little screens and routes Gangsta Garrett had Dunbar run.

Defense. That thing. Ugh. It's not bad, it's just injured. We get Hardy and McClain back this week. That is huge. Darth Belichick will exploit the fact that our FS is actually a SS pretending to be a FS. I do not have a clue about how we will stop Gronk. Byron Jones is certainly athletic enough, but leaving a rookie DB on Gronk is not a great idea.

Another thing that's good for you to know is Brandon Weeden cannot throw to the left side of the field. I literally do not think it is possible.

So what about the Patriots do I not already know? What players should I watch out for?

Good Luck guys. Here's to an entertaining, legendary game. I know that there will be plenty of drinking involved, in celebration and in sorrow.

Sorry with or without Romo/Dez we will lay 60 on you. Romo is overrated, Dez is amazing has potential to be a top 5 WR of all time

It was the Patriots' 3rd game of the season last year..

Denver played the Ravens in their 1st game this year and then the Vikings in their 4th game.

I'm trying very hard to understand the point you are making.
I am saying that pats shuffle oline in that game like this year. And with addition of Hicks and Kyhri probably they ll go with DTs too. So i still think that lasty years first 3 games and this year 3 games are still learning for some guys. We had Devey as starting guard in first 3 last year.
I dont think that Denver doing the same thing. They arent experimenting. Manning and their oline will help u win games, its not like 2013 offense. The addition of Wade Philips is the only good thing, but healthy pats, no problem

Sorry, your point is simply not valid.

Last year Belichick was in his 14 year as the HC. He had the same DC and OC as the previous 3 years and was working with a QB he has partnered with for 13 years.

Kubiak is the new HC of the Denver Broncos. He has new OC's and DC's implementing completely new systems.

You're simply digging in the wrong direction.

another reason to not worry about them,
and their defense hasnt faced any decent QB beside elite Flacco

I've been perusing around some cowboys forums and r/cowboys. Seems to be a decent amount of their fans that think the way to defend Gronk is put Byron Jones on island with him.

I'm not being a Pats homer when I say that's just delusional talk if they truly believe Jones can shutdown Gronk.

I hope this is their plan.

Dallas coach:

On whether linebacker Sean Lee (concussion) might be able to play this week even if he does not practice: "Sean's a great player. We lost him in the game the other night against New Orleans and you feel the impact of a guy like that when he's playing, and you certainly feel it in his absence. He came out of the game OK. I talked to him on Sunday night. It seemed like he was doing well. We'll take him day by day as he goes. Obviously he won't play in the ballgame if he's not ready to go. He's a really good leader. He's a really good player, and he's had a big impact on our team. We'll take it day by day and see what his availability is on Sunday."
I think the protocol requires you practice before playing, so if that is indeed the case, the correct answer was "No."

.....Patriots first 4 games last year, they faced Tannehill, Cassel, Derek Carr and Alex Smith...... and LOST 2 of those games.

Still not seeing whatever point you're trying to make.

The reports of Sean Lee playing this week make me queasy. He just sustained his third reported brain injury. If he were part of my team -- let alone my family -- I'd want him to take more time before tackling anybody.

Bryan Stork concussion - - IR DTR - 8 weeks

Sean Lee concussion - might play in 7 days

Who cares? Your passive-aggressive trolling shtick's already older than Keith Richards's haggard face.

Get off our lawn.

BTW, helluva forum you've got over there. Great insight. ;)

I've been lurking (on occasion) at the Clownboys and Jaguars forums... the disgusting levels of absurdly petulant hatred there make these teams worthy of the GOAT's annihilation.

The Pats did that with Talib against Jimmy Graham. Graham is like a tall receiver (taller/stretched out, and I suspect exaggerating his weight as he should look Gronk-like at the same weight, 265, and one inch more in height). Gronk can move, can catch but can also beat you up. As Jones would give 65+ pounds in that exchange, I don't see it ending well for him.

Here's hoping they're just playing cagey to make the Patriots prepare for Lee.

That is certainly not our best forum.

I am actually banned from that forum for the next few days because I called out a lot of idiots on their own BS and called out trolls on their trolling, which is a big no-no.

This is my favorite Cowboys forum http://cowboyszone.com/forums/fan-zone.59/

Our SB nation page bloggingtheboys.com is fantastic, too.

Thanks, I'll go check them out. Always good to get good analysis from other fanbases.
