Be more defensive. You can't. All I was trying to point out was that Bill and his guys will pick out flaws whether they win or lose. The whole needing to lose notion to me is absolute garbage. Their goal is to play their best and prepare each week to win that game. mabye a team that isn't coached the way our is would need to lose a game to correct shortcomings and flaws, but with Bill and the staff he put together I'm pretty sure he can do that without needing to sacrifice a whole game.
Well, to each his own. I only care for the Playoff victories especially the Big one. Every year since 07 we see people (especially new posters) who wish for a perfect season and after a few losses they go away, this year we seem to have such posters in abundance.

Edit: Just read the "I'm pretty sure he can do that without needing to sacrifice a whole game." part of your post. I never said we need to lose a game on purpose, the point that i am trying to make is it starts taking a Physical and emotional toll on you like we have seen with the Colts and Saints in the past.

I totally agree a perfect season is not the ultimate goal. But people who would rather lose than win because they're afraid of pressure are cowards.

Yup. I wanna win every game. Won't panic if they don't. But I carry no '07 fear of being "imperfect" at the end. Let everyone talk their ****. Smash 'em down hard. So far, so good.

The difference between 12-4, 13-3 or 14-2 and 16-0 is just a couple ugly wins. I think the team can learn as much from an ugly win as they can a loss. The Buffalo game was a perfect example. They lit it up but towards the end let it get way too close. I'm sure Belichick had plenty of fodder for his film study this past week. I would say it paid off judging by today's performance.

You know Brady & Belichick are pissed off and on a mission. They are still focused week to week but you know there is a fire burning within them to crush everyone in their path. This thread is dedicated to that passion and drive. Ultimately the goal is winning SB 50. If they go 19-0 in their relentless drive towards that goal, all the better.

But right here, right now, we're onto the bye.

Exactly. It doesn't "mean" anything to win 12 or 14 or 15 or even 16...(though I admit his is part of the conceit of being a fan of the only team to do 16-0 in regular season). You outlast teams and get your wins, or you don't. 16 wins doesn't guarantee a Super Bowl, as we all know. But my god would it get any sweeter than it would this year?

The Ravens '07 game was terrible, a fluke, and could've gone the other way. It didn't, and no one says "18-1 but really should've been 17-2" it is what it is. We won, they lost. If this happens this year it will involve some good fortune and that's ok. **** 'em. We have TB12, who is MJeff post-95 on a mother****ing mission to be the best there ever was. And the mission is to leave NO DOUBT. Good luck to everyone. Deflategate was the Nick Anderson steal on MJ in the '95 playoffs. Everyone talked their ****, tried to second-guess his accomplishments, doubted what could be done from then on. MJ never lost again. I have no evidence that TB12 will either. Dude is the GOAT. Leave no doubt.
