In the end we try to look at the rulebook as a useful tool, something that can benefit us if we know what we have to work with, how to make the best of a situation based on the way the rules are written and try to maximize our opportunities there,” Belichick said.

Consider that only ignorant fools consider this to be cheating...probably because they enjoy being cheated and believe the rest should, as well. :D

Another in the laundry list of reasons why he's the best head coach in the NFL.

Bill and Ernie really should let bygones be bygones and fix the NFL.

Belichick and his players study the rulebook so that they completely understand it and use their knowledge to their advantage.

Teams like the Colts and Ravens don't take the time to study it and instead just complain and try to get the rules changed when the Patriots outsmart them

Im guessing that if you said to th various teams in the NYJFL* "You have ten minutes to produce a copy of the Rules; Go", a few would run off to find one, most would give you a blank stare not knowing how to proceed, and Bill would slap one down on the table and spend the ten minutes studying game film of the next opponent while he waits for everyone else.

I wish BB would stop using the rule book as a platform to commit evil and treachery. How dare he know the rules!

Yeah, he is going to embarrass the referees...and league officials...and the Commissioner.

How is knowing the rules fair when the other 31 don't. That's CHEATING!

... I use heavy strings, tune low, play hard and floor it. Floor it

I took this to heart many years, ago...never use "standard" tuning which originated with the Nazis (and is not kind to the human being)- no kidding! Anyway, I digress, but SRV is worth digressing for. Cheers! ♫♪♫♪

What just happened to this thread?!

Part of military training is knowledge. When recruits go to boot camp, they also have stuff to learn (i.e. rules, etc...). Perhaps, BB took note of this via his military associations?
