making excuses for Fat Ben and refusing to give Flacco credit for being a playoff QB? Flacco actually led them to that ring in 2012. His SB was quite impressive. Fat Ben's 1st is not so much as he rode his defense which you ignored. His 2nd sure but he still rode a great defense which you still chose to ignore. Now if you are going to do the SB ring count, where does Eli Manning fall into this? He did beat our boy Brady twice and has 2 rings because of it. Don't go backtracking now. It makes sense that you praise Fat Ben since he has always been the Patriots *****. Pats are 1-2 against Peyton and 2-2 against Flacco which is why you are blinded by your reasons.

I didn't make any excuses. I noted what's happened. And I'm not backtracking on anything. My positions on these QBs are easy to find with a search of the board.

So Flacco rode his defense in 2012? Didn't Fat Ben have a top ranked defense in both of his SB runs? And since you are using SB's rings in your argument, be sure to include Eli Manning since he has 2 especially with them coming against Brady.

Go troll someone else

A statue in a barroom bathroom.

I hate the Steelers, ALOT. Hate their fans even more. Most ignorant people on the planet. Any conversation with them goes " Durr huuurrrrr we have more rings. Durr hurrr cheatriots we didn't have to cheat to get them" Then you bring up all the steroid usage and it's. " But but everyone was doing it" Losers. HATE HATE HATE them.

As for their QB. Rapist piece of trash.

Why do we have to stoop down to the level of other fans?

It's not really "we", it's strangers on the Internet.

Why all the vitriol now? The Steelers haven't been trouble for anyone since Matt Cassel was starting.

Exactly. Even then I can't remember the last time Pittsburgh beat us in a meaningful big game... 1997-98 playoffs..?

I get the Steeler's and Ben hate but dude, he's a pretty good QB. Like Favre, a gunslinger. Only difference is Favre only sexxed photos of his Johnson, Ben was accused (not convicted) of attacking the ladies with his johnson.

Fair question but not very fair answers. I think of him as a throwback kind of player. Not the best passer but very effective because of his ability to stay up in the pocket. That said, it's surprising he has two rings. He is not that talented. The years they won it all he benefitted from a great defense and a solid running game. I also expect his game to fall off soon. Big guys at skill positions lose their speed fast after 30, QB's included.

His legacy? That's easy:

He's a rapist scum who has 2 rings because AND ONLY BECAUSE of the worst playoffs officiating in NFL history (2005) and because Warner threw a pick-6 from PitsDirt's 5-yard line as time expired at the end of the first half (2008).

His legacy is that he's clearly the biggest whining ***** in the history of the sport. I've never seen a bigger drama queen in the NFL.

Ben's comment that the Patriots knew the Steelers plays in the past, suggesting there was foul play from Spygate, echoed comments made by Hines Ward particularly about the 2004-05 AFC Championship Game.

Offensive plays are radio'd in and there are no hand signals. There is no way to steal signs from the offense, even with a video recording device. Maybe it had to do with the Steelers playbook consisting of three plays like Techmo Bowl with a dumb emphasis on smashmouth, predictable formations and play calling. Bill Cowher was known for a complete lack of innovation. I recall the week before, the Steelers offense was putrid and almost lost to the Jets.

However, I would hate for this indisputable fact to get in the way of the narrative and refocus on that game, which involved Ben playing like Ryan Leaf on LSD.

Ben also wants to let us know that on the way to that game, he stubbed his pinky toe and was suffering from a paper cut on his throwing hand. Now I am going to read his blog where he talks about both the physical and emotional pain of his knee bruise.

I was at that game in Pittsburgh (vs the NYJ) prior to the '04 AFCCG. I had to suck it up and root for the Jets, so the game could be in Foxborough the following week.

NY should've won it TWICE at the end, had it not been for two horribly shanked FGs. Luckily, as we know, everything worked out.
