I did not see him in the last game. Is he OK?

I did watch him a lot in the first game and he had his ups and downs. He is a huge strong guy, but he got pulled out of position a number of times and was benched. There appears to be potential there, but he seems raw.

Seems like a typical rookie, some upside but can't be trusted. He should be serviceable by the end of the year and improve from there.

Yeah my thoughts exactly. He is huge and powerful. Once he plays under control he should be a force.

It is pretty cool that the Patriots will get even better as the season progress (barring a major injury).

Yep, and year 2 is when he'll really take off. It's common for all rookies, but I said elsewhere that he just seems like such a classic takes the leap year 2 guy--a full-offseason, conditioning program, etc.

For this year, if he can be serviceable, that'll do.

This is theoretically true of the other 31 teams as well, so any talk about how we might have "too easy" of a schedule is a bit premature, IMO.

vs JAX

Easley 32/57
Siliga 23/57
Brown 22/57
Branch 17/57

solid contribution in a nice rotation

these guys will be fresh and peaking down the stretch

My guess is that hand-work, reading offenses, and positioning has a lot to improve--nothing about physical gifts.

Add Hicks into the above DL rotation at some point

profootballfocus has brown as one of the worst rookies for whatever that's worth.

Too early to call him a bust. We will see from game to game.

He's been abused a few times in the running game, but nothing catastrophic. Branch is playing better than him last few weeks, and Easley took snaps from him in the JAX game. But it's Week 3 of his rookie season, I think we can give him a little while longer to become the GOAT defensive lineman that we're all counting on.

I'm pretty sure Vince Wilfork had a similar start to his career.

The good news in there is the confidence the coaches have in Easley. There are plenty of big bodies to fill in while Brown learns the pro game (especially after two were added to the roster this week). Easley brings a different skill set and there isn't another player like him on the squad.

Except it. Accept it.

Wilfork started slow. Seymour started slow too.
