We're on to Dallas

Wait, the Cowboys have hope! I heard on ESPN last week that their predictor gave the Cowboys a 53% chance of winning.

(They did then acknowledge that it didn't take injuries into account.)

One other note about their prediction algorithm; they also predicted at the start of the season that the Colts were most likely to go undefeated.

Nate Silver's model and Cortana are both picking the Pats, so it's all good. ;)

Or, like, football and stuff.

I do. Greg Hardy abuses our OT (whoever it is.. we rotate a lot) and causes maybe a fumble or int or both. Pats DL can't get pressure against the Dallas OL and our secondary is exposed a bit.

I could see both happening and it would make the game close.
I don't know, hardy hasn't played in a while, hes probably a little rusty.

They're Jerry Jones' Cowboys, that's reason enough.
I hate Jeerah, and i hate the Cowboys and have for a long time. Jones was one of the gang of five or so that wanted goodell to hang Brady. i expect more than a little payback from TB and BB for pushing the framgate issue with goody.

wasn't jerry jones giddy when brady was suspened? now he doesn't even have his own qb for this game. i say we hang 50 points on them

Pats should first ask Jerruh if he approves of the Pats getting their confiscated draft picks back.

If he says we should, we win a modest victory.

If he says the picks should stay gone the Pats go medieval on his Cowboys.

I believe this to be true simply based on the assumption that it would not have gone as far as it has if he and Kraft both opposed it. Is there anyother evidence supporting a so called band of 5?

There are much better teams to run up the score on than Dallas. Unlike so many other teams out there, far as I know they haven't done anything to earn the enmity or wrath of Pats or Pats fans.... I'm just wishing for a solid injury free game on both sides resulting in the usual outcome.
Exactly what I was going to post. Just hoping for a solid win & no injuries. Dallas is pretty beat up and I don't see Weeden beating Tom Brady. Go Patriots!

If the opportunity arises and the Pats decide to go with the FU Tour, I hope they let JG in there for some snaps. I doubt they will let him play though. The Pats seem to look at the season as a work in progress that sharpens the team for the playoffs.

LOL

31-10. Bet the farm. Huge win for the 2nd string Cowboys, the Pats simply don't match up well vs. the NFCE (plus they don't have much video on our 2nd string team). Garrett is not going to be out-couched by the former Browns coach who quit on his team and went to foxborough.

Let's change the mood on the forum and support our 2nd string team boys and girls, we can still win this division - especially with a HUGE win this weekend.

If you post something negative before the game make sure you come back after the game and apologize

We need to stop the run. We are last in the league. It needs to start now against the Cowboys. We expected to have issues in the secondary...but not the run...not like this. Akiem Hicks was signed to help fix this at DT...please not DE. That is his position. It's time to turn up the heat.

EDIT: that lack of threads about our issues against the run is surprising. We are LAST. This needs to change drastically. Lets see what happens Sunday.

"The running game" is a small percentage of Modern NFL Offenses. To the point where most NFL defense play in sub-packages for 80+% of the game.

Stopping the run is nice, but hardly critical anymore.

I agree the run not is not as critical as in the past...however last is still last. That WILL be a problem if a team is ahead and they are trying to run out the clock. Middle of the road is fine.....last is going to hurt eventually.

EDIT: has any Super Bowl winner ever been last in stopping the run for the season...or close to last? I would be interested in knowing that stat.

They'd have to be ahead.

The Jets have put up 2 bills+ running the ball the last couple of times they've played them. Patriots have won both times.

Seriously, if a team wants to run 50 times, and limit themselves to scoring 20 points or whatever, best of luck.

Also, you're putting a lot of stock into teams piling up garbage time yards. When you're playing prevent, it's a little easier to run.

Yikes ...50 ?! Uhmmm...your putting a lot of stock in assumptions. I was thinking a lot closer to 30.
