So far these season has not been so competitive. The Steelers game was the only one where i felt an actual team was trying to oppose us for all 60 minutes even though the Patriots were in control the entire game. The Bills has goes and stops but you just felt like the Patriots stopped playing and then started when it got close again.

So far the way this season looks if the Patriots decide to play 60 minutes each game they will rarely be challenged and the way this year has good I could see a few other thing happening t0 benefit the Pats. A year like this you expect Talib/Ware to be out when we play Denver or something.

Anyway the point is this. Is this a good or bad thing for the Pats? Would you prefer they get to play a top team that is healthy in the regular season?

It just is what it is. Before the Cowboys fell apart with injuries the game didn't look so easy, and I kept hearing about how the Eagles were supposed to be revolutionizing the NFL any day now. Denver is still considered a challenge defensively and we played the Steelers before Ben went down. For my money there are more many more mediocre to bad teams than good ones, and what can you really do about it? The Pats played Cincinnati, Green Bay and Seattle last year, that's going to have to be close enough, lol.

I think some tough games are generally good but most of this team battled from 10 down in the SB and 14 in the playoffs so they probably don't need that confidence booster.

Nothing's easy even if it looks easy. You never know with injuries as well. Gotta stay healthy. These next two games are big on the road. I still worry about that dolts game even though they don't look good at all.

It's still really early, but I want these guys to be battle-tested. They don't necessarily have to lose a game, but come very close to it, just to remind them they can lose if they let their heads get swole. Even with all the deflategate fuel, we need more. Do not let that flame weaken.

Edit: Media is still giving us some good stuff besides deflategate -- Tom Brady isn't tough, calling Seahawks the reigning champs -- so I'm grateful for that.

I just think the Patriots are playing the best football of the past 5 years, it reminds me 2010 with a better defense. And overall, as has been said, the other teams overall are playing a pretty bad football, teams that were not supposed to be this bad, like the Colts, Cowboys, Miami, even Seattle.

Denver is 4-0 but that record is as virtual as possible, it doesn't fool me at all, they are getting a few bounces, Manning is still delivering when it counts sometimes, like against the Chiefs (that is a better team, with a choker QB and coach and Denver have their number just like we have the Bills) but I'm not impressed, good defense, suspect offense, I don't think the Patriots will have problems to beat them in the regular season and post season, if they make the playoffs, I don't know their schedule but that team could pretty much go 8-8.

Nothing is easy.....a game won or on the brink of winning can be taken away by the NFL / zebras. Look at Lions game last night.

There is definately a benefit to having a tough schedule in that the team will be tested come playoff time. That said, I'll take an easy schedule and the potential bye week and home field advantage every time.

Nothing is that easy in pro football, especially if you have to deal with injuries.

Winner. There's no such thing as an easy road. Things change continually through every season. Supposed tough games can end up being really easy and cupcakes turn into losses. The season is a marathon and a grind but the end result is usually that the team that earned the Lombardi hoists it. It's comical to watch every season as those claiming the Patriots are too cheap to bring in top talent and that Belichick sucks as a GM morph into the crowd claiming they have an easy road and anything less than a Lombardi is a failure. The team they claimed wasnt good enough becomes their prohibitive favorite and it they don't win it all they were right all along.

Lmao, it's groundhog day. Felger is at it already.

I don't care if they play JAX every week. The coach and QB, along with the majority of players on the roster, know what it takes to win in the playoffs. We hear it after every game from BB; something along the lines of, "we need to compete for 60 minutes, play well and keep getting better." He's no fool.

I will gladly take an easy road to 13-3 and the #1 seed, every year. This is a good football team.

It's bad to think the road is easy. It's still tough to win every single week in the NFL. The moment you think otherwise is when someone will catch you "running before you've secured the ball," so to speak. Luckliy BB and TFB have lots of experience with this and are not likely to look past anyone or lift their collective foot off the pedal. Then there's that deflategate thing adding extra fuel to the tank. Broncos and Jets have looked tough so far, at least at times. We won't know whether we can run roughshod over them until we are on the field with them. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Looking forward to the Dallas game.

With the way the overall quality (after the major injuries) teams appear this year, none of the few really good/elite teams seem to have many challenges and a 12-4 record may not get you a first round bye this year.

I prefer to get some good competition before the playoffs, but it appears the playoffs will be where it starts (outside of a couple handful of games across the league year).

Playing good teams makes the team better overall. I would prefer to see the tougher road traveled.

If it helps to get the #1 seed, I'll take it, though let's remember that 3 or our 4 championship teams were 2-2 or worse and hit some early season adversity before learning from those mistakes and becoming more battle tested.

We're four weeks in. We don't know who the "good" or "bad" opponents will wind up being. A lot can still change.

When you're the Patriots, every game is your opponents Super Bowl. There is no such thing as an easy road.
