Colts get an "A" yesterday...REALLY???

I don't get all the media love for the Dolts. It's a tiny market, they only have 1 marketable star, there's no interesting backstory about them, etc. Why all the national attention?
They want to see anybody but Brady and the Pats as the face of the NFL. Why that is, is another question altogether.

I'm sick of the NFL love fest with the Colts and the Packers

At least the GB is understandable. The Colts ??? No idea.

Can't wait for that game though.

They're the hunky dory, corny team of the NFL. Just listen to their radio guy and you'll understand why.

If beating the Jags in OT with a 40 year old QB nets an "A", then what does completely destroying the Jags with a 38 year old QB get you? An A++++++++++++infinity?

They won because the Jags kicker missed three straight field goals to win....what is this Breech smoking??

"If you win a game with a 40-year-old starting quarterback, you get an 'A'.

1) I watched that game, yesterday. And I posted in several threads that JAX could/should have won 3 times (or at least 2 of them) with a kick. Three times I watched them miss; just miss; etc... What a missed opportunity to take control of their division. Nay, JAX doesn't want it.

2) ...get an 'A.' Of course, this is the same team that flies "Finalist" banners. Has it ever occurred to them that if they keep posting up "finalist" banners, they'll be ultimately viewed as a bunch of (sore) losers who cannot (and do not) finish.

From what I saw, I don't think any team played close to "A" football yesterday; maybe Green Bay.

Yeah, but Indy is playing for that elusive "Finalist" banner. Ergo, it makes sense that their coach would give them an 'A.' Perhaps, he believes that they are where they need to be in order to follow through, again?

"If you win a game with a 40-year-old starting quarterback, you get an 'A'. Colts coach Chuck Pagano clearly wasn't worried about 40-year-old Matt Hasselbeck getting a sore arm because he let the veteran throw the ball 47 times against Jacksonville. The gamble paid off as Hasselbeck threw for 282 yards and a TD. Fittingly, this game ended with another 40-something year old being the hero when 42-year-old Adam Vinatieri hit a game-winning FG in overtime."

"A" as in "Almost lost twice"

Dalton is starting to put up Manning stats, winning in the season and then zip for the playoffs.

Dalton is on pace to break Manning's one-and-done playoff record.

I have no idea what he's thinking, even with hasselback how can you give so much credit to a team that had gore fumble in the redzone and only won against a team who just had 50 put on them last week because their kicker missed a bunch of east field goals

I will give them credit for winning with a 40 year old back up QB (who played better than Luck has this season), but it was against Blake Bortles and the hapless Jags. The same Jags that the Pats scored on every drive against (if you take away kneel downs).

I'd bet that same Writer gave us a D for not winning by 51 points instead of only scoring 51 points because our QB is 38 and not 40.

Great, now I'm going to go all "A Beautiful Mind" crazy wall on my bedroom for the rest of the season...

Doesn't everyone get a trophy this year?

Great job, Goodell! You are really putting a superior product on the field this season.

I think Irsay will have the WEEK 4 "A" ( FOR EFFORT) banner ready for this week's game. I'm sure they are going to start giving little participant horseshoe stickers for their helmets because it will be just so darn cute. Excuse me, make that "so dern cute."

It's not his fault, he's been campaigning for expansion and the 18 game season for years, and that's the only way to give the fans what they want and provide the players with more safety and fewer injuries.
