Only saw the MNF opener and it looked like same old Atlanta. Trying to get some opinions for school radio show.

Depends, are they still pumping in crowd noise?
That aside, Julio Jones and Freeman are legit

Perhaps Atlanta is on a noisegate **** you tour?

They seem tougher and their schedule is incredibly easy. They're gonna win that division, although I suspect I might be underrating Carolina.

Let's see how they do against a good team in the playoffs before deciding if they're legit.

They are legit IMO. Frankly might be better than Arizona. However not the best NFC team.

While true, we can try to get an early opinion. Falcons and Bengals going to be hard pressed to get respect until they get it done in the playoffs.

They seem legitimate to get into the playoffs and even win their division.
I'm not sold on them making it to the SB.

For their fans, hopefully they have playoff success (which would mean winning 1 game or more and being competitive).

I think its a team still trying to get its bearings.

The falcons have always had some talent all over the place, the difference is this year they have a coach that does give up when things get tough, and also doesn't put his team into ****ty situation by poor clock management.

I don't think they are all the way there yet, but if the falcons keep playing hard even when they are down, they will have a chance in every game they play. That makes them dangerous.

Come playoff time I don't think so.

But look at their schedule and you'll realize they can very easily win 12-13 games this year. It's a super cupcake schedule.

Their defense is good enough this year not to blow any games for them, and their offense is very legit. I think they could be a team that takes out GB in January.

falcons defense isnt that great.
matty ice is legit though. too bad his defenses have always sucked

They have a great defensive coach though. They have the coaching, just not quite all the players. Albeit their defense is still much better this year than last.

my thoughts:
- you have to respect and 4-0 team
- julio jones has been the best wr in the league through 4 games
- if Eli Manning and Flacco can win superbowls Matt Ryan is more than capable. the question is does he have enough talent around him (specifically on defense) for that to happen

Sure, and it's a good time to acknowledge that Rob was 100% right on his call of the Falcons being the best job opening. I thought they had a long way to go to shore up the non-Ryan/Jones roster, but obviously I was wrong.

Their schedule is really easy, they play the same divisions that the Pats play - AFCN, NFCE. Panthers division games should test them, but the rest is very easy.

When you've got a great offense, you don't need an elite defense to win the SB. 2014 Pats are an example of that.

Their defense looks good enough right now.

They were legit years ago under Smith every year with Ryan...Once playoffs came? Just like Cincy..can count them out.

But this year seems a bit different
