Sheldon Richardson unsuspended lol

You can't spell "integrity" without NFL.

So Spikes plead guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and got 4 games, and Richardson broke what ten laws and gets nothing???

Richardson wasn't charged with the endangerment of the child somehow lol. He was for resisting arrest tho.

Guys - It took the NFL a year to penalize Blount and Bell for their run in with the law..

I think that he had child in backseat is a very good example for everyone, that should be commended .

I cannot imagine what it must feel like to be stoned going 143 mph. Richardson probably thought he was on a rocket ship to Mars.
Feels like going 10 mph....

Unreal. Driving 140+ while trying to evade police in a car filed with pot smoke, a gun and a 12 year old kid

And no child - endangerment charges

Obviously the arresting officers were jests fans

I've found that to be highly interesting. They say there isn't enough evidence to charge with child endangerment. Really? What more do you need? Something is smelly about that. Someone paid someone off.

Yeah I'm pretty sure if anyone without a little fame behind their name got pulled over doing 143 with a minor they'd be in jail for quite awhile.

But don't worry, if you head over to Jets forums, Brady is a scumbag who should be banned for life and Richardson's punishment is entirely unjustified.

On a somewhat related note someone told me last week was the first arrest free week for the NFL since 2009. Not sure how true that is, but it's an incredible stat if true.

I think the time period is "month". It's the first arrest-free month in years.

Also, I don't know whether that's counting only months during the season, or all 12.

The man was smoking dope......in a car......driving 130 mph.......in a car chase away from police.....with a 12 year old child in the back seat..........

......and the NFL is spending millions appealing the Brady decision.

And there was a gun in th ecar. Can't forget that.

No way Goodell holds him back, the Jets are 3-1 and Richardson will make them that much better. Goodell is a lying sack of s*** and this is further proof.. he has been hell bent on destroying Brady's legacy and weakening the Pats franchise to pave the way for his beloved Jets with nothing but allegations and zero evidence over PSI in a football...

But if a pro bowl Jet player runs from police, high on weed, wrecklessly driving 143 mph, endangering a 12 year old child in the back seat.. no big deal, must beat the Patriots.

And he'll spew feces from his mouth in front of media repeating the word integrity over and over like a parrot..

That f***ing scumbag makes me sick to my stomach

Oh I almost forgot the firearm in the car as well!

I think the crux of it is that all they had on him as far as drugs go was the smell of burnt weed, which in some states is not evidence of anything (presumably because the smell of smoke sticks to things for long amounts of time, and it's not a crime to never wash your car's interior). However, the gun and the 143 miles per hour..........suspect. Very suspect. Not to mention he was probably also drunk, let's be real.

As for the lack of additional suspension, I have no idea why but sometimes the NFL takes forever on that. Like someone posted already, Blount and Bell's blunted traffic incident happened like a year before anyone was punished. I highly doubt this is just going to slip under the radar. More likely, he'll get arrested or fail a drug test again and get a season-long and everyone will see it as "cumulatively fair."

From what I've read the gun was legally registered. The kid and 140 is the issue.

Are you slow or something? It is about the integrity of the game. it is not about the integrity of the person.
The game is supreme. Brady tried to affect the integrity of the game. See this game is about integrity. It does not exclude murderous, rapist, wife beaters, child abusers. It accepts all from the world including ISIS but you have to respect the integrity of the game. Those who play don't break any rules. They don't hold, they don't steal signals. Once between the hashes, they are holier than ************.
Now that I have broken it down for you. I hope you get it.

Right. I'm not gonna pretend to understand the legal system, but it does sound like something doesn't add up.

Richardson wasn't suspended for the "integrity of the game", he was suspended for "conduct detrimental to the league." There are multiple catch-all clauses Goodell uses to dole out his roulette wheel punishment. The specifics of what's determined by the legal system hasn't stopped Goodell before, so who knows why additional action hasn't been taken based on the news reports and bad press.
