The idiocy in Buffalo continues, and Rex continues to provide comedic relief of his inability to manage a team..of course he takes a dig at the officials, does that effect the integrity of the "Shield"???..

"It is more probable than not" that Rex will continue with his rhetoric, how many personal fouls does it take for Rex to take a player off of the field???.. It is easier to blame the officials than to take responsible for crappy coaching.

Can you imagine how pissed BB would be if his team averaged 104 yards of penalties per game??..

“I’m proud of the way this team played. Can we play a lot smarter? Absolutely. But I’ll take a team that’ll fight over a team that will sit back and take it every day of the week and bring on the next team. Give me a team that’s got some fight and will compete to the very end right, wrong or indifferent no matter how good the officiating is or whatever.”

Wrecks in Effect. Locomotive size.

I would have respected Rex more if he said penalties don't matter. And in a way, they don't. The top 4 teams in penalties made the playoffs, with teams #1 and #2 meeting in the Super Bowl. I'd rather win the turnover battle than the penalty numbers.

But it isn't just about the penalties, but the type of penalties as well. There have been 7 personal foul penalties called so far this season and Buffalo has 4 of them. Nobody else has more than 1. Buffalo is also tied for the lead with 4 unnecessary roughness penalties. They seem so focused on sending a message that they forget to play football too.

And Rex should be proud of the team fighting. Because he certainly can't be proud of the team's record.

Just the latest in the NFL's never-ending stream of excuse-making by coaches and players. Officials cost Rex the game this time. Move over Tomlinson and Rothlesberger, you've got company.

This is how Rex managed to keep his job in New Jersey for so long. Blame the refs. Blame the Patriots. Blame injuries (which is how he started the press conference).

Just don't blame the team or its coaches. They're trying really hard!

Jets fans bought that ******** almost to the bitter end.

blah blah blah......
They need to take some anger management class....
I hope Titans can pull a upset and Bengals play like 4-0 team...
Then they need to take some depression management class...

It's just dumb football. At least when Rex had winning seasons he didn't need to resort to the UR and PF nonsense. He won with defense and a few level-headed veterans that showed the younger players the right way to play.

At this point, I'd put more faith in 90 year old Marv Levy than this jack ass. When will Buyers Remorse set in up in Buffalo? It's like a family with little kids deciding it would be a good idea to bring an adult pit bull home from the dog pound

His personal history has been well documented. The family he grew up in was based on bullying and physical intimidation. That was the currency. He'd regularly get beaten up by his own father.

Rather than heal from it, he's avoiding it, and compensating by adopting the same belief system. As a football coach, he focuses on the same thing. When things don't go well, he doubles down on it.

He's lucky that football exists as a way to make a living, because there aren't many opportunities to make a living by promoting bullying, and particularly when you don't personally have the physical skills to succeed at it.

I admit, I used to think that Rex was a pretty good coach. I thought he was hamstrung in jersey by poor GMS who didn't give him any good offensive players. Despite that, Rex's teams always seemed competitive (especially against the Patriots) and his players never gave up on him.

But after seeing the Bills this year I've changed my mind about Rex. The undisciplined players, Rex admitting that he was still thinking about the Patriots 2 weeks after the game, and now him saying that he doesn't mind the penalties....all signs of a poorly coached team. I think that once Rex is fired in Buffalo he will go back to being a defensive coordinator.

I feel some sympathy for the Bills fans. They didn't deserve what they had handed to them. I wonder which team will bring him in next?

This guy is like the schoolyard bully after suffering his own smackdown. His emotional filter has too many holes. I couldn't believe it when after Buffalo lost to the Patriots in week two, he was complaining New England didn't run the ball enough. A few losses in a row and he might come completely unhinged.

I never liked Rex or Buddy. I'm not sure about Rob because he doesn't get the same air time as his dad and brother. Maybe that's a good thing. The other two are/were an embarrassment.

Sadly, I'm pretty sure that Rex will get another HC job. The media loves him and will build him up enough that some owner will look at him as a way to boost ticket sales. It worked in Buffalo and New Jersey.

LOL he did?! Wow.

In the Ray Lewis era the Ravens had some good teams, very competitive. But I never sweated close games with them because they were the same kind of undisciplined, hot-headed team that Rex has assembled in Buffalo. You could be guaranteed that the Ravens would lose their heads and commit drive extending penalties in crunch time and be too busy screaming at the refs to get lined up properly for the next play. Rex will squander such talent and opportunity as he has in Buffalo if he doesn't get this through his thick skull.

I think as a coordinator he's a genius. He's had some pretty damn good defenses over the course of his coaching career so, in certain ways, he is a good coach.

As a HC I don't like him though. He got away with the Jets offensive deficiencies for a long time because his D and run game dominated.

BTW, his team is 2-2 and has played 3 out of their first 4 games at home.

He's going to have to a lot more song and dance, dress-up entertainment skits to attempt to misdirect the press' attention as things get worse.
