Ian, Pls Get Zolak Off the Twitter Feed (And Replace Him With Chatham)

I thought you were nuts, Smessy, until I caught a bunch of Zolak's juvenile spam. I don't really care, but some of his friend's should have an intervention with him.

How is Chatham not on there?
He's been added. I'll have to go back through and re-do it anyway and update it further. I've been spending most of my time over the last few weeks working on a site update along with the board template, but there are quite a few things involving Twitter that will be updated as part of it as well.

Chatham is smart and insightful. I frequently learn something from his writings.

Zolak is Honey Boo Boo-level drivel.

Zolak has always gone for the 'zany' shtick, but he's gone full ****** lately. Never been a fan anyway.

Can give or take Zolak, but among the myriad of sports commentators he winds up being near the top of the crap heap.. perhaps his years of sitting next to Gresch rubbed off on him.

His strength is his insight as to how this team operates, being the color guy on radio gives him opportunity to be aware of a lot of stuff others do not have a clue about.. unfortunately, intelligence is usually not his strong suit.

During deflategate, he provided a lot of insight regarding the role of the backup QB and preparing footballs.. which was helpful understanding things that I would have not wanted to know about, but had to.

Which reminds me, how come during all this brouhaha none of the back up QB's that have cycled through this franchise have never been contacted regarding this situation????

He's fine on Patriots All Access, but his twitter feed is evidently his way of blowing off the tension in his life. It is useless drivel. It literally looks as if his psychiatrist has prescribed it for him to use as a method of getting all the idiotic things out of his brain so that it doesn't sit there and make him any sicker.

If that helps the man, then great. But anyone having to read it on the twitter feed is simply worse off for having to endure it. Mind you, this isn't like complaining about a thread on this forum. Readers can bypass a thread topic without having to read the contents. On the twitter feed, there is no bypassing the entire contents of a consistently idiotic and useless twitter source.

Wasn't Twitter supposed to be for juveniles? I believe it was invented as a way for kids to let their friends now where they were hanging out and not have to tell everyone individually.

The idea that Twitter is supposed to be a serious news feed is evidence of everything that's wrong with this country. Zo using it to make stupid juvenile comments seems like a much better way to use the app then for legitimate writers to limit their writing to 255 words or less in order to rush to the world with factually inaccurate stories just to be the first to say something.

Sorry but I hate Twitter.

Thanks, and if possible could one of those Twitter updates please be the removal of Volin from it?

I like Reiss. I'd put him in the news feed I guess. He's a little fanboy too which is ok. Reiss will also be critical when appropriate but at the least back it up with a reasonable position.

Annoying graffiti. There is no info there whatsoever.

If I want to waste my time listening to a "Morning Zoo" type program, I'll turn on a radio.

The twitter feed is for breaking news and developments - - he does neither.

To be fair, Zolak was the first to say:

Scott Zolak ‏@scottzolak Aug 27
Going to bed then waking up to take a @mortreport

i want to know why mortensen is on the dang feed right now :( grrrr

I don't think Mortensen wants to be on any Patriots twitter feed. He gets crushed every tweet he sends out no matter the subject matter.

I wish we could get a "???" rating icon for posts that just make you scratch your head.. but then again clicking on icons on the intertubes is most probably also too juvenile..

Absolutely agree on Chatham.. very knowledgeable about the game and a sharp sense of humor. I'd also recommend adding Matt Bowen (@mattbowen41) and Chris Brown (@smartfootball) and while they don't strictly cover the Patriots by any stretch of the imagination, they have a lot of football insights. I've just added Football Zebras (@footballzebras) and they're pretty good on NFL rules clarification.

Good stuff.

BTW, the very best analyst writing about the Patriots in 2015 is Rich Hill of Patspulpit. Incredible stuff with videos, etc,. breaking down plays and playsers.

Here's his twitter feed:
