Looks like a wristband to me. LOL
Well we should all be happy that you're not in a position of importance.
What happened to our team, twice, was atrocious, and wishing it on someone else doesn't make it OK that it happened to us, it just makes the league wrong, again.
Someone else getting ****ed by the media and league won't restore our image, so I'm guessing you just want others to suffer for the sake of suffering?
I'll say this: if I just dropped in here not knowing anything else about the team or the situation, never in a million years would I guess that this was a board for a team that was 3-0 (maybe heading for 16-0?!), coming off a Super Bowl season. Or that you WON in the hearing, leaving Goodell's legacy forever tainted. This thread is kinda dumb. Some of you guys need to get a grip even if you are just "joking around" (dubious). If a fan from another team came here and saw this you'd look like a bunch of lunatics
The Flex could be a camera distortion or more likely the case flexing. The thing which truly sells it not being what the Steelers claim is his reaction when he is no doubt told he is on TV. He acts incredibly guilty looking around and even behind him. Is it a phone, I have no idea but it is suspicious enough it should truly be looked into and it would never have gotten a second thought if we didn't push it.I don't see how anyone can say it wasn't a phone. You clearly see something circular that appears metalic on the top center area of the object. You really only see that on phones.
Explain to me how that could be on an armband and i might believe it is an arm band.
I don't know why, but I think that is pure evil. I LOVE it!!!!If the Patriots were as twisted as I am, I'd have Jimmy G (or whomever) do the exact same thing Rothlisberger just did, but make it look even more clearly like a cell phone. The catch is I'd have a sideline Patriots camera right on it which clearly shows that it's not a cell phone. Make no mention of the sideline camera, let the NFL run with the story, let them run an investigation, do everything they want to do, hold on until the sideline camera footage until the very end, act as if you just found it, make sure it clearly exonerates the Patriots. I would do something similar to this 3-4 times every season so the NFL is deathly afraid to do something like this again. The NFL will never go for something they don't have 100% evidence on for fear the Patriots are the ones running the sting.
Please no, the media could easily turn it around and make it Spygate 2.0 for having a video camera on the sideline. If the Patriots were as twisted as I am, I'd have Jimmy G (or whomever) do the exact same thing Rothlisberger just did, but make it look even more clearly like a cell phone. Let Ernie run it and I'm sure it could be used from a cell phone or some "fan" type of viewing in the stands. Please no, the media could easily turn it around and make it Spygate 2.0 for having a video camera on the sideline.
My son has a phone case that does this exact same thing. The NFL claims it took a photo, why not show it. they are hiding the NFL photo because it must not match what was seen on TV. They could end this with releasing that birth certificate, I mean photo. NFL has no right to belief without proof.I'm now convinced it was not a phone, based on the slow-mo video (not the initial picture) in this:

Time to let this matter rest.

Don't get me wrong -- this thing was a circus, so you guys have every right to stay as angry and outraged for as long as you deem necessary. But whether you should *want* to is another matter....Some of you are going to miss out on truly enjoying what may be a historic season--in the twilight of the TB/BB pairing (which won't last forever!)--if you keep rabbit ears up 24/7 for signs of hypocrisy, league incompetence, and biased/uninformed fans. These things have existed -- and will continue to exist -- no matter how long and hard you scream at the heavens about the injustice of it all.
I live in LA. Invariably, about once a month I encounter a driver on the 110 who does something *breathtakingly* moronic on the road--something so stupefying in its idiocy that it warrants an immediate, outright removal from the gene pool. This used to drive me bat$hit crazy, but as I've gotten older I've come to realize that in a large population, I pretty much have to "budget" for a certain percentage of terrible drivers...and more importantly, that my getting (and staying) angry about it will never change that. So now when it happens I think of it as part of my monthly 'idiot budget' and just move on. I'm a much happier driver.
Which is a longwinded way of saying: It would be a shame if things like cellphone/wristband issues--and frankly, hoping for other teams' misfortunes--were the topics 'renting space' in your heads, when you have Super Bowls and undefeated seasons to think about (!)
(Not sure if that analogy worked lol...but hey I mean well. )
Good luck,

I don't think you understand the level of the continuing animosity the media (ESPN), league offices and numerous team owners/executives and coaches display towards the Patriots. As long as this keeps happening to just the Pats, nothing is going to change. Until other fanbases and teams realize how corrupt and unfair the NFL front office is, nothing is likely to change.I'll say this: if I just dropped in here not knowing anything else about the team or the situation, never in a million years would I guess that this was a board for a team that was 3-0 (maybe heading for 16-0?!), coming off a Super Bowl season. Are people actually still talking about this?
