Odds of Patriots getting their 2016 PSI draft picks back?

The NFL will never release ball measurements that would exonerate NE. The procedure they've come up with, while on the surface seeming very involved and precise, is actually really loosey-goosey in all the ways that matter. So the NFL will easily be able to fudge the measurements such that NE will never be exonerated. Hell, I expect them to use the measurements to retroactively frame NE some more -- "see, these measurements prove they really did cheat".

Agree for the most part. Not sure Goodell would resort to fudging.. They could just lie. This guy practically defines the word hubris. There are a lot of bad people in the world. This idea that some of them would see their mistake and change their mind is laughable. Goodell will fight tooth and nail..

Slight aside:

I just got back home after two weeks overseas.

Got in my car yesterday — urgent need for good ol' American pizza — and noticed a 'low tire pressure' message. Hmm, didn't get that message before I left.

The other thing I noticed: Where it was mid 80s weather when I left, it's now mid 50s at best.

Enough with the 'boohoo the Patriots ownership is talking to Goodell'. A cordial discussion at a gathering of the owners means less than nothing. Goodell could be planning a take over of the Patriots and BK/RK could be planning the ouster of Goodell -- and they would both smile at reach other if they ran into each other at a meeting. Business is business....

Let's hope it is a case of ...

I think the pats have pondered it, but will officially confirm it after this season is over, whether they'll go and try and get the picks back or not. I think they're leaning towards not a whole bunch, but something could arise between now and the end of the season to prompt action.

I've led an independent investigation into this and have concluded that it is more probable than not you were generally aware of a scheme to lower the tire pressure of your tires. In short, you are a dirty cheater and every single accomplisment in your pitiful cheating life should be marked with an asterix

The only chance is if some other big **** happens and the NFL take another knockdown in court or Goodell **** up big time and the owners decide that enough is enough and decide for a new commissioner including a review process of all of Goodell decisions, reverting the penalties against the Patriots. Unfortunately only a federal investigation would possibly start this chain of events.
