NFL and Steelers respond to Patriots fans: "Roethlisberger didn't have a cell phone on the sideline"

It wasn't a phone? Ok. But why aren't they asking if it was a broad spectrum, radio frequency bursting jammer or a high powered microwave focused gatorade warmer? It could be one of those.....

View attachment 10719 yup, a wrist band with volume buttons on the side. Nothing to see here.

Did you skip the last few pages?

What kind of phone has shape shifting properties that involve a rubber-like frame and vanishing and reappearing buttons that also slide along the edge?

"Are you saying you think the Steelers are jamming radio signals?"

"I SAID WHAT I SAID"

the NFL choosing to give them a pass is the story here. I don't care that he had a phone on the sideline. Against the rules yes. But Ben doesn't strike me as the sharpest tool in the shed. But, the NFL could have just fined him and moved on. The NFL has a larger problem that they themselves seem to be struggling with. They lack credibility and it shows in their actions. In other words, they have none and they know it. A scary proposition for all.

The NFL saw a fairly obvious non-phone object like most of us did and decided to move on. They also claim (not that we have reason to believe the claim, i'll admit, i believe my eyes) that they took pictures on the sidelines of the non-phone that Ben had and this dismissed this, as they should.

Why would they fine Ben for having a legal object on the sideline?

For the record, I don't give a damn about Big Ben or the Squeelers, but I will defend him when innocent, as he is here. Just like I defended our team when they were attacked with no proof of any wrong doing.

You're kidding right? They fined the pats, took our draft picks and suspended Brady for having legal footballs on the field.

We got fined because the idiots inside of the NFL are uneducated morons and hired someone to create proof.

The Steelers are lucky that you don't need an education to understand that Ben isn't holding a phone.

I can actually understand how ignorant morons can mistake our footballs for being illegal, I cannot forgive the ignorance that kept the witchhunt going or the arrogance that began the witch hunt when precedent says a league-wide email goes out saying "hey don't touch the footballs before they get on the field, ok?". But I can understand sheer stupidity saying "hey these are below regulation".

Ben is not holding a phone.

There is no reason to investigate or fine him. He's not holding a phone, you only need eyes to see, there isn't science that makes his non-phone look enough like a phone to begin an investigation due to lack of understanding.

It's not a phone.

Let it go, stop being so petty.

after 7 months of NFL lies about deflategate, plus the ray rice video stuff suddenly you believe everything the NFL says. really? Where did you get that KoolAid?

Really? You interpreted my post as believing the NFL even though I word for word said "not that we have reason to believe the claim", you still interpreted that as "I believe you, Commish!"?

I don't really have words.

Edit: Well I guess I do have words, you're an idiot. That's what I meant to say, just incase you misinterpret my post pre-edit.

Actually, you're right I didn't read all of your over-wrought post. At first I thought you had to be joking. Sadly it seems you are not.

Clearly you do believe the NFL because you say there's no reason to investigate. They took pictures of the device but we haven't seen them. Have you ever seen anyone on the Pats sideline holding such a device? I've never seen anything like it. So obviously you believe the NFL hook line and sinker. Like Bob Kraft, I think, you'll find you are wrong to put your faith in the NFL.

Show me Ben holding a cell phone, I see him holding something clearly flexible with laminate or clear plastic reflecting stadium light during a night game. (ps. this sounds like some sort of protector for play calls)

What is there to investigate?

Show me. Please.

Apparently the only wrist-band style in the NFL is the one Vick has because all anyone wants to do is compare that.

I'm not sure what Ben IS holding, but I'm sure that he ISN'T holding a cell phone and 24 hours later I can't believe people are begging for this non-cell phone to be investigated.

You sound like a fan of the Colts during deflategate where no matter how much was shoved in your face that nothing wrong was done you just can't fathom admitting it.

Why do you think I believe the NFL? Where did I say that? Where did I put faith in the NFL? Was it when I said we have no reason to believe them? Why do you think Ben should be investigated? There is video proof of him not using a cell phone during the questioned clip. What exactly is it that you want?

"Are you saying you think the Steelers are jamming radio signals?"

"I SAID WHAT I SAID"

The waves of RF broadcast that emit from the integrated circuits of an 802.11 enabled device, like the one in Roethlisberger's hands -- Roethlisberger was accused of rape in 2012 -- can cause interference and intentional or unintentional "jamming" of P2P wireless communications used by NFL teams and organizations such as law enforcement.
Ultimately what I am trying to say is I'm not accusing Roethlisberger of being otherwise guilty of illegal activities.
