NFL and Steelers respond to Patriots fans: "Roethlisberger didn't have a cell phone on the sideline"

The White/Gold Blue/Black dress has met it's match.

Is this a blue cellphone or a black wristband?

It's probably not a phone.

However, they aren't off the hook. Their punishment will be the same as every other NE opponent this year. They'll get smoked if they are unlucky to play us again.

I'd like to see this photo then. I don't believe they were sitting there watching the game and then perked up and thought "HEY! WHAT WAS THAT HE JUST STUFFED IN HIS POCKET? WE MUST GO FIND OUT!"

Tom E. Curran: "On Friday morning, the NFL’s Director of AFC Communications, Jon Zimmer responded to my email inquiry saying, “Roethlisberger was holding a black armband with a clear cover that contained the Steelers play sheet. It was not a phone.”

Mike Florio: "Team spokesman Burt Lauten tells PFT that Roehtlisberger was consulting his black, plastic wristband that contains the play calls for the game. Roethlisberger kept the wristband in his sweatshirt, removing the device throughout the game to examine it."

^^^^The NFL and the Steelers say that these are the same thing

If the NFL office says it's all OK, then it must be so. After all, you can trust them. Remember they are responsible for the 'integrity of the game' and wouldn't do anything to harm the 'shield'.
.

We can also just look at the obvious:

It bends and has vanishing buttons that also warp shape and change position.

That's not really the point. I don't care one way or the other, but I definitely don't believe anything that anyone in the NFL says. If they say the sky is blue, I'm going to have to look for myself. Until then, I'll assume it's pink.

To me my pitchfork is no longer so much aimed at the possibility of whether it is or isn't a cell phone. But how fast the NFL seemed to have said "Yep no big deal," in this case, and now we hear they "went down and took a photo of it," screams sketchy to me. Until I see this photo I won't believe them. I'm not buying that cameras panned over to Roethlisberger, none of the announcers noticed anything, but some NFL exec did and walked down there and asked to see it. I just ... :( I don't believe what the NFL has to say.

Guys, look at the newer pics. It doesn't look like a phone.

Yeah, except he's originally Lincoln-Sudbury Bert...

The size of Vick's armband and the supposed one Roethlisberger is looking at are far different in size. Take a look, and also notice the volume up & down buttons on Roethlisberger's device.

It's easy to make it look like something it's not when you freeze the picture at the right spot.

Hey where'd those volume buttons go?!

Greg Aiello also stated there was never, not ever, no, none, never happened holding on THIS play...so, yeah, gotta go with the Aiello Minister of Info for sure...

Can anyone magnify the image on the left, clean it up and post it all over the Internet...or in the alternative send it anonymously to Ernie......?

Watching that makes me soooo :mad::mad:

Ok I would probably slow down on the whole "We've identified the make/model/submodel of the phone based on that 5 second clip and pictures!" trip :D:D
Yeah, look how long it took Ted Wells to report there was no conclusive scientific evidence, yet something more probably than not happened and Brady was generally aware of it.
