Media ignores Steelers caught cheating on TV last night

Just got an email back from Bill Nye he says he "doesn't buy it" and the Steelers' explanation "makes no sense."

Wristbands with silver buttons? Bigger story Steelers lie about it.

EXACTLY!
Those are exposed silver up and down volume keys. I've been working in the wireless phone business for 20 years... that's a cell phone with a black or dark blue, 2 piece snap on case. He's even holding it like a phone he is using his thumbs to navigate.

So he's clealry holding an iPhone 6 (s?) Plus and typing on it.

But the Integrity of the game police say it isn't a phone? Lol OK then guys sure thing.

The best part:

No images in the article. o_O

I am sure that Florio's Steeler-fandom has nothing to do with it.
Yea Florio was very quick to dismiss.

No way that is a wristband....My goodness.

Whatever it is, and I think it's a phone, it's not an iPhone 6. The iPhone 6 has two buttons for volume up and down, but it also has a third button/switch for mute. The device in the picture only has the two buttons.

I think its a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge with a case.

I hate that the Squealers are trying to cover this up.

We need a phone specialist to go on the air to determine if.

Good call on the Edge, I'm typing on one now and the buttons look a lot alike.

My wife has the iPhone6 and he is not holding that.

I have a previous generation Samsung Galaxy and was just checking them out two nights ago. I am 99.9 sure.

I have an upgrade coming to me next month from Verizon :p.

So is the NFL really going to just drop it based only on the Steelers' word?

No investigation? No interrogations? No trial?

Weird how that works

It's not ratting out if its publicly available via video on live tv.

We're simply pointing out the obvious. Hey, isn't that guy doing something against the rules?

Of course this is the nfl so much like the vikings heating up balls on the sideline this will get hand waved and blandino will say something like "I spoke to Ben, and he assured me that it wasn't a phone, and i believe him."

nailed it

I think the "technical explanation" is their "playsheets" are actually tablets/smartphones...so it's "not cheating." But we know what would happen if someone on the Pats did this.

No. Microsoft Surface Tablets have an exclusive deal for the sideline. Nothing else is allowed to be used.

Tablets, yes, I can see that. They're all over the sidelines with those Surface Pros. Phones? I don't fuggin think so. Especially when you come out and say it was in an armband

I mean, the guy was obviously typing on some sort of illicit device when you watch the video of it. I'm just saying what the league's spin is.

Any tablet or smartphone is strictly prohibited other than the official league-issued Microsoft Surface tablets (which aren't even really Microsoft Surface tablets, they just have the Surface shell).

I posted this in the other thread.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. He has a case on it.

And the amazing thing is the investigation is already over because the NFL said so. Case closed. Nothing can ever be brought to light about this again.
