Media ignores Steelers caught cheating on TV last night

Wanting there to be equal discipline for all 32 teams (especially in this case where there is video f*cking proof of an infraction vs probably and maybes) equals being butthurt. Got it
No. There's nothing wrong with wanting discipline. If your reading comprehension was on point, you could see I called for that in my first post. Wanting a ****storm because of a salty vag is what makes you sound butthurt.

Terrible example and counter argument. Bottom line: a fan base that just spent months complaining about the way the media blows up every little thing and about the way an incompetent commissioner needlessly turned a small thing into a ****storm. Now, instead of just simply saying "yeah he should get fined/suspended", the same people that whined about the ****storm are hoping for another one? Because why exactly? Because you're butthurt and your feelings are hurt? Why would anybody hope for another ****storm for a commissioner this incompetent to handle otherwise? Really. Give me some logic here.
Well you'll have to ask the rest of the folks who feel that way. It doesn't need to be a 6 month ****storm investigation. It just needs to be addressed appropriately, IMO. Fine or suspend him then move on. Why do I give a ****? Because I know that this would be a MUCH bigger deal if it were my team doing this. Just human nature

Wanting a ****storm doesn't make you butthurt. Just makes you vengeful. But we can argue the semantics of butthurt and high-sodium based female reproductive organs some other time

Kontra, I think the problem everyone here has (and all Pats fans in general) is that in a league that really wants "partity" you can 't have hypocrisy, inconsistencies, favoritism, and witch hunts"

The Pats were penalized harshly for something that science said diddnt happen. The Pats brand has been tarnished, TB's cred questioned, and the fans had to endure a bunch of **** that will never go away.

I personally think every time a team "cheats" like in this OBVIOUS example, that it should be thrown in the face of everyone to show how phucked up the league is. It will also show how people cant be objective and fair and admit its all either, no big deal or its all cheating.

****ies are the people that cry when the pats may have done something but dont say a word when its another team. That is a pus$$y and I dont recall the USA being built on values like that.
And this is all exactly why Goodell has the power he has and exactly why there is a problem with his regime. Hoping for that continue is a failure of logic. There's nothing wrong with wanting Ben to be punished. Wanting it to turn into another scandal for Goodell to handle is what's wrong here and doesn't make sense given the way this fanbase responded to that logic in the offseason.

I want a ****storm. Why? First, phuck the NFL. Second, the only way that Joe Blow the idiot NFL fan who loves to talk about the Pats cheating and repeat it over and over again like Rain Man on meth is to show that - "Look the Steelers cheat too, and they do too, and your team too, and shut up already."

Can we just ignore the fellow here trying to make this all about him and his values and focus on the issue at hand, a blatant violation on TV ignored? Tweeted this quite a bit last night and the only person of note I saw carry it was

David Portnoy ‏@stoolpresidente 12h12 hours ago
Tough to run a fake FG when Big Ben is listening to your playcalls on his cell phone

Trying to get more to notice.

I don't know if you have been paying attention but the league has been demonstrating that they believe that the only way to properly enforce rules is to create a shirtstorm.
And that's what the problem is. That people hope for another one just because it unfairly happened to the Pats is the issue here.

Shouldn't turn into a huge investigation but would be funny to see Tomlin have to answer questions about it after Ben getting fined.

If this was Tom Brady the headlines would be:

Brady was caught holding a device with a built in video capturing device that also has the ability to communicate or transmit captured images or video to anyone in the world. Spying apparatuses such as these are forbidden from the sideline and under the powers of article 46.......blah blah blah .....Suspended.

Since it's Benny boy:

Ben forgot to leave his phone in the locker.

His comment isn't about enforcing a rule. His comment is about wanting there to be another scandal along with that enforcement. Or a "****storm", if you will. That's hypocritical of this fanbase and makes us look like little ****ies. Why would anyone here want another scandal for Goodell to botch if not for the fact that they are simply butthurt by Deflategate? Because that's the only logical reason I can think of.

My assertion is that the NFL damn well knows Ben was using a cell phone on the side lines and will do nothing about it because they are either A) incompetent B) focused on an anti-Patriots agenda or C) scandal weary.

I don't think Goodell can suspend Ben for that but he'd probably try and lose again in court.

People should post on another board that they saw Garop with a cell phone on the sideline and then see the reaction. If outrage ensues, then just say "just kidding" it was Big Ben from last night.

You made your point - you are not needed any longer on this thread

Come on, we can't go around telling people with differing opinions that they're not allowed in our echo chamber.

FWIW I can see both sides: point out the constant, blatant hypocrisy to get people off the Patriots' backs, and do unto others as you'd damn well like them to start doing unto you.

I think the more scandals available for Goodell to botch is a good thing. That just means he's going to become a bigger and bigger loser and the more he looks like and idiot, the better chance he has of loosing all the owners and getting voted out. So call everything, start **** storms, and watch Goodell burn.

You realize that, in one post, you basically just conceded my point and admitted that the only reason you want it to blow up is because you're salty (hence, "if it were MY team") right?

I'd love a crapstorm too. I don't think there will be one, but I'll never forgive whiny crybaby Coach Tomlin for his "these things always happen here"'comments after the opening night game.

No, I think most of us Pats fans just want the persecution of our excellence to stop.

Pointing out the blatant double standard of the NFL* and the hypocrisy of the other teams is a step towards that end.

And that's what the problem is. That people hope for another one just because it unfairly happened to the Pats is the issue here.
I definitely see & understand your point. I largely agree with it. I think the main thought here is that publicizing something like this isn't to get anyone punished, but simply to try and shift the conversation a little bit from "hey everybody, look at the what the Pats do" all the time to the fact that stuff happens, and who cares, and play football.

I'll admit, I'd like for this to get scrutinized. Not because I'm a whiner (I hope I'm not) but because it would be a healthy step for the league, the Pats, and the universe to gain a little freakin' balance here.

My assertion is that the NFL damn well knows Ben was using a cell phone on the side lines and will do nothing about it because they are either A) incompetent B) focused on an anti-Patriots agenda or C) scandal weary.
I don't have any problem with hoping he gets fined or suspended. If you remember, I mentioned he should be punished. My problem is with this fanbase hoping for a scandal. Seems awfully hypocritical with all of the squawking in the offseason when it happened with us.

So then don't complain in thread after thread when the smallest non-issues turn into ****storms with the Pats.
