SHOW ME THE BEEF

What, no defensive linemen on the Practice Squad?!

The Patriots shied away from high end UDFAs after the draft but now have two on the 53
man roster (Andrews, Coleman) and two on the practice squad (Hickey, Hill).

So is this the Practice Squad?

WR Chris Harper
WR Austin Hill
TE Asante Cleveland
OL Sean Hickey
OT Cameron Fleming
OL Blaine Clausell
LB Darius Martin
LB Eric Martin
DB Brandon Dixon
S Brandon King

Losing track with all these transactions. Might have missed some.

That's what I have. BTW, the official patriots site is pretty good about these lists, once the transaction is official.

Their next opponent is the Dallas Cowboys with arguably the best OL in the NFL and a backup QB. If Hicks can go, they might activate him as well to match beef with even more beef.

After being here a week, I don't think that Hicks will be an upgrade over Branch and Siliga.

He won't be an upgrade, but he will be fresh legs to spell those guys on running downs, which the Cowboys will be doing a lot without Dez and Romo. That is a seriously depleted passing attack in Dallas. Look for them to try and run the ball as much as possible to keep Brady off the field. This is one game where I like the Patriots' secondary to be better than the opponent's passing game.

It's interesting to me that the Cowboys were part of the deflategate cabal against Kraft and come into week 4 so depleted with the Patriots at full strength.

fair enough.

The the question is whether Hicks will be ready to be better than Brown in the "fresh legs" role.

LCB - Chandler Jones
FS - Jamie Collins
SS - Dont'a Hightower
RCB - Rob Ninkovich
No Malcom Brown would be one corner since many already think that's the name of our number one corner around here. :D

I wouldn't be surprised if the Pats sign a player to the practice squad who's already on it.

BB is flooding the roster with DTs in an attempt to improve over what he has, which has been pretty bad against the run.

The effort that BB went to to get him, then onto the practice squad, and finally onto the roster at a position that was seemingly deep, suggests BB must really see something in him that he likes.

Just doing some more reading on him and Mike Mayock loved him.

Its fascinating how he was a complete bust at GB- which is a solid organization gets jettisoned, comes here and works his way to the 53. We'll see what he has

I don't know if "working his way" to the 53 is accurate.
He is on the 53, but he didn't work to get there, at all.
He's a decent DT to have on the PS, but a bad one to have on the 53.
The sooner he's waived then signed to the PS where he belongs, the happier I'll be.

For those wanting to see more Nascar formation, BB has decided to create the monster truck formation.

A little less speed, but all the fireworks.
