BART SCOTT RIPS PATRIOTS QUARTERBACK: ‘THERE’S NOTHING TOUGH ABOUT TOM BRADY’

On Roethlisberger:

"I appreciate the type of quarterback he was. I appreciated he played like a man and never complained."

Except for his weekly press conferences where he outlines all his booboos. And that time he claimed to have broken ribs but the Steelers didn't know, because it was apparently the type of broken ribs you can't see on an X-Ray.

Scott was on CBS Sports Radio Wednesday night and the toughness of NFL quarterbacks came up. Scott discussed a sack he had of Roethlisberger and said it might have been different if it were any other quarterback.

“I don’t know if you’ve ever seen my hit on Ben Roethlisberger, it’s the type of hit that you dream of,” he said. “He didn’t see me, he padded the ball twice, and I finished the deal. But, if you watch me, you see me, I slide my head to the left at the last second. That was out of respect for Ben Roethlisberger because I appreciate the way he played. I appreciate the type of quarterback he was. I appreciated he played like a man and never complained. If that would have been somebody else, that helmet would have been in the middle, it would have been a keel-shot. I would have a broke rib. I would have tried to break a sternum.”

When asked how he might have tried to sack Brady, he replied, "If I would have had the shot same that I had on Ben I would have taken a legal shot [against Brady] but I would have made sure I did some damage."

Here is the Bart Scott hit on Big Ben that he was talking about:

The fact that he would've tried to break Brady's rib or sternum, or permanently injure him, speaks to the vile character of Bart Scott.

He also ridiculed Brady for not being rough and calls him a 'cornball': " He has a great life and he has a bunch of hardware. That’s great. But, does that not make you a corn ball? No, he’s still a corn ball. I’m sure his teammates tell him he’s a corn ball."

Just a friendly reminder to Mr. Scott:

Brady doesn't whine to the media when he's hurt, he doesn't make excuses. He constantly deflects injury excuses saying 'everyone's playing through something'.

He's smart and knows that a QB getting hit isn't a good thing, he lost a full season because he launched a ball deep downfield and maybe held the ball a split second too long, allowing a defender to launch into his knee. Never again...

That doesn't make him 'soft', that makes him smart. When he's hurt he plays through it and keeps it quiet, the way Belichick wants it. But he does play hurt, we've seen it numerous times. This is idiotic.

The Ravens style of play and off the field issues are embarrassing. I just can not understand that one team is allowed to continue with the old school football mentality when everyone else has grown to accept the repercussions of sports related injuries. When I hear a Raven player talk, I instantly feel sorry for their wife and children.

He got his cue from Steven a Smith. Its all about stirring the pot and getting hits.

Why am I supposed to care what Bart Scott has to say? I'm sure Brady doesn't. He probably can't hear Scott either. I think that's because the four rings are partially obstructing Brady's hearing.

just another idiot..

The opponents of the Patriots are so classy. Here's a story by Chad Finn about Bill Polian.

"Then you see how they [ESPN] keep using Bill Polian — a guy with an agenda if there ever was one; I was in the press box once when he was the Colts GM, Welker got hurt, and he blurted, “Break his —– leg!”

It's pretty awful for a GM to be rooting for someone to break their leg. Imagine if Belichick was heard yelling that.

That story was about ESPN's anti Patriots bias during a chat on Sons of Sam Horn

I don't see the fuss. Personally I don't give Bart Scott the credit of being smart enough to think about what he's going to do with his helmet on a tackle based on who he's tackling. But giving him the benefit of the doubt that he's smart enough to consider this and adjust in the heat of the moment going for a sack, I don't see the big deal that he'd be trying to hurt Brady. When you tackle someone your goal should be to hurt them. So long as you aren't doing it in a dirty way or after the whistle, you are fine by me. Hit Brady as hard as you want. Try to break his ribs. Try to hurt him. I don't care. Just do it legally and without being a cheap shot. If you can do that, I hold no ill will towards you. That's football.

I will not give these people trying to make obvious shock articles a view.
