I think you might be over analyzing that a bit. It's very common that coaches, and refs, get screwed over royally by the media when something goes bad, and are rarely praised to the same degree when they succeed.

He must not have seen the cameras we were using to record the Jags' signals. LOL

I was thinking the same thing. Belichick shaking hands and yukking it up with the ref before the game. And then the Pats go on to win big. There it is: refgate

The contrast between the respect from other coaches and refs vs. the jealousy and hate from sore losers and the league office towards BB is mind blowing.
