Crazy - The DEPTH of This team!!!!!!!!!

Blount is our backup at power back. Lewis is the starter (for the last 3 games, anyway).

That depends upon how broadly or narrowly you define "power back".

Deeper, deeper...

Every once in a while a post is so brilliant that, while you wish you had written it, you aren't too disappointed for not doing so because it is simply beyond your capabilities. This is one such post.

Aww, shucks...:)

I'll leave it to you to update the thread when we inevitably add another defensive back.:D

Here's a question who goes when LaFell and Stork comes back? Also does Wendell currently count among our roster now?

Assuming no one else goes to IR between now and their return.. its a tough choice to make!

The only "fringe" players I can even identify, and I use the term fringe very loosely... as a lot of them are quality players that contribute significantly as rotational/special teams;

UPDATED:
Tavon Wilson
Alan Branch
Keyshawn Martin
Rufus Johnson
Jonathan Freeny
Bradley Fletcher
Nate Ebner
Justin Coleman
Aaron Dobson
Brandon Bolden

and other than Fletcher, I wouldn't want to see any of those players go for a variety of reasons

I think Martin might stick around even past this year.

Three people were removed from the practice squad today...my guess is they are freeing up space to relocate Rufus there. Same for Cadet

EDIT: Actually, Cadet doesn't qualify for the Practice Squad. He has 3 accrued seasons which is unfortunately, one too many.

I like our depth at every position except for Corner and perhaps Rb. At Rb, I do not consider Bolton to be a good option as a back up. White has shown flashes and I really like Lewis and Blount but beyond that, we are pretty thin.
Everybody knows that corner is our weakest position. When we have Ryan starting, you know there are issues. Hopefully, Brown comes back and plays well. I want to see more from Coleman as well but adding another top corner would really help our team.

I wouldn't say we're thin at running back, Lewis and Blount have been doing great. James White has showed flashes when he's gotten out there, including last week. Bolden has even showed in the past that he can be an at least decent option when needed. I wouldn't say ours is the best out there, but it's pretty decent.

It's certainly good enough, anyway, and if someone gets hurt, you can always sign someone off the street.

And the crazy thing @shmessy? With the exception of Lewis, all our priority free agents will still be under contract in 2016.

This, I believe, was all part of Belichick's gameplan when letting Revis walk rather than committing the resources which would have resulted in less depth and not signing some of those free agents

Wouldn't mind and upgrade for Bolden

Couldn't agree more.

Belichick chose quality of depth over resigning Revis.

Yes, we could have opted on Revis' 25 million dollar 2nd year.. but what would the back end of our roster look like come December and January after such an early bye?

.....and now with the additions of Bostic and Hicks, I'd try to stash Rufus Johnson on the PS with its 3 new open spots. Love Rufus as a great development project, but right now, he's overflow supply.
