Patriots Trade Hooman to the Saints for Akiem Hicks

Hicks went to university here in town, so this makes it an extra cool trade for me.

This trade could end up being highway robbery. Hicks has the talent to be a terrific interior DL.

He traded our worst Tight End for him, assuming him and Payton agree'd the value was fair (we're all hoping it wasn't, in our favor, and on the surface it looks like we won), let's just wait and see.

Absolutely. Hooman did a good job here. Best of luck to him.

Trade a #7 for Mike Williams who's a better blocker than HooMan, move HooMan for Hicks, basically get Hicks for a #7; and if Hicks does OK we could get a comp pick back for him, he's eligible and young, big DL can get better contracts than you might expect.

If this kid Hicks can play at all, we won the trade. Since Hooman had lost his job, after all, and was going to be in Healthyscratch City the rest of the year.

This trade is actually a positive for Hooman, he will get reps a lot of them in fact and have a chance to make some money in free agency.
