I know this isn't Patriots related, but since it is the BYE week AND a lot of us live in New England, I feel I should post this. New England is in the "cone" for this hurricane to make landfall. I am putting this out here to make people aware and to prepare just in case. Better safe than sorry. Here is the latest projection of the track. The GFS has this making landfall near Virginia and Carolinas, but the Euro has this going out to sea. Other models in-between has this system moving right up the coast and making landfall in New England.

Holy crap, I live in Maryland!!!

FWIW, apparently this storm seems to be harder to predict than other storms in the recent past, so just keep an eye on it. It may well change course.

The weather models dont have a handle on this storm. There is a lot of factors that will go into the track. Either way, we will be seeing A LOT of rain regardless.

Looks like the only game that could be affected is Philly @ Wash depending on when and how much rainfall there is............

I used to enjoy a good 'cane but now that I live way out on Cape Cod I think I'd like to pass on it coming up here

It's funny I lived in FL for over 5 years, we never had a Hurricane and two weeks after I moved they got slammed with Charlie right where I lived. The Hurricane gods got me back though when our place upstate got slammed by Irene in 2011 then Superstorm Sandy hit NYC (where I've lived for the past 10 years). Long way of saying I agree with 16N0

The 12z GFS has the Hurricane making landfall in Virginia and Carolinas then moving up the coast. This is the precip field when it hits New England. TONS OF RAIN!

I hope you stay safe shmessy.

Looking at the map provided, it appears that Baltimore, Pittsburgh, New York and New Jersey are right in Joaquin's cross hairs. What a shame.

Thanks, man. We're in the suburbs just north of DC in Montgomery County. I just saw the reports that look even more ominous that we are directly in the path of this thing.

Now that I heard your forecast and know that you're near my niece, I think I'll give her a call.

Good luck.

Hmm so the Patriots just happen not to play on the weekend a big hurricane comes through? Seems awfully convenient.

That reminds me. There was a time that bad weather was considered a great equalizer and helped the lesser team keep it close. Seeing the way the Pats are under B&B I almost feel like it's an advantage instead. They probably practice with giant wind turbines and sprinklers running just in case.

Between Brady's skill, big brain and determination, and Belichick's incredible attention to detail, it almost seems unfair.
