Rex Ryan: Patriots were 'clearly trying to embarrass' Bills

On the contrary, by far our biggest weakness in that game was being a bit too casual when it was 34-13, which made the 40-32 final result possible.

Trying to embarrass them, by playing balls-to-the-wall for a full 60 minutes, would have made it more like 51-24.

LESSON LEARNED

And we should. I don't care if teams try to embarrass us.

Kinda ironic when all week before the game the entire upstate NY was trying to embarrass the Pats.

Can you imagine the media and Dan explosion if the Pats had lost? It would have been the dawning of a new era in the AFC and the crowning of a new AFC East powerhouse.

All the football pumps and billboards, and the PATS were the ones trying to embass the other team?

The Pats didn't do anything except win convincingly. They weren't dancing on the logo or pissing in the Gatorade. They even had the courtesy to drop their gaurd in the fourth and watch their dominant lead evaporate.

Got nothing else really to talk about I guess, Rex?

This is too much fun.

Don't sell yourself short, Rex. You were tremendously embarrassed.

I didn't see him throw in the towel and stop competing, but the Patriots should have played differently?

BB gave them an opportunity to stop them and the Bills did. That's what Rex should take away from the game (and build upon), not that the Patriots offense was playing like a pro football team offense?

For once i will root for Eli manning this week. Which probably means he will throw 5 picks.

This is why some teams can't beat the Patriots consistently and why they are bottom feeders year in and year out The are so obsessed with this team that they still talk about the game weeks after the fact instead of concentrating on their up-coming games. Talk some more Ryan, and when you end up not making the playoffs , blame your whole lost season on the Patriots !!

Hilarious stuff right here, which includes a Bills fan who is so irrational that other Bills fans have to put him in his place:

This one is pretty good as well:

Always good to find gems like this:

Unrelated to the OP but I saw a few minutes of the Pats game and there was a fumble called on the field, and the Pats challenged it. All turnovers are auto reviewed, so why wasn't Bellicheat flagged?

Oh, I don't know. Maybe because there wasn't an actual turnover, and it resulted in the offense advancing the ball. Naaahhh, they are just cheating as usual. I wish we could write an epic biblical-sized reference book to all of the dumb, false accusations against the Patriots by moronic fans who could have figured out why they are wrong in as much time as it took for them to type up (or vomit up) their conspiracy theory.

Stop Crying Rex Ryan. I hope the Patriots put up 50 next time they face the Bills.

I heard a report of a conversation Rex had wit Jim Kelly. Rex said to Jim: "Jim, do you have any idea why the Patriots would want to embarrass us?". Kim replied: "gee no Rex, my 'integrity', the 'integrity' of the playing team, and the 'integrity' of the whole organization is baffled by it. I think it is more probable than not the Patriots hate us for our 'integrity' ''.

The Steelers were still talking about the Patriots a week after they were beaten, and now the Bills are still talking about the Patriots more than a week after they were beaten.

It's amazing how much Belichick and the Patriots get into their opponents heads.

Well to be honest, the NFL* has given clear signals that individual teams are being given free reign to entertain whatever anti-Pats demons and delusions are roaming around inside their heads.

Rex should start charging BB rent.

It was 2 weeks ago; if Belichick is still in Ryan's head, then good luck to him.

Looks to me like the Bills did a just-fine job of embarrassing themselves.

Rex should start charging BB rent.

Don't even suggest that.

The NFL* may decide that the penalty for living rent free in other teams' heads is a couple of 1st round picks.
