Because decent (roster sport-worthy) corners take longer to integrate and don't get cut as readily.

BB is constantly working out guys to get a book on them. That explains how he jumps on guys that fit despite a low waiver wire position.

In the event of future injury, BB has a sense of who among the available might be worth signing. They work out guys virtually every week during the season.

I love BB refusing to settle. Yes, every team brings in guys for tryouts - but BB's insistance to get the right guy for #51-52-53 leads to winning.

Prepare for possibly injuries most likely. Nobody is more prepared than BB.

Listen, I think Ball actually has talent and could do well here. He's definitely had his share of screw ups in Denver, but.... it's Denver. I would welcome his addition, coach Fears could mold him into a nice piece. I mean c'mon, were we all freaking out when they signed Dion Lewis to a futures contract?
