David Andrews

I haven't been able to find information about David Andrews starting at anything other than center.

AFAIK Andrews has played center exclusively, even back in high school.

I would move Stork permanently to Guard I think he would more likely be concussed again playing Center just on the Center to QB exchange. Andrews is looking like a really good Center and Brady doesn't hold on to the football for that long win win. Just look at last years improvement when Wendell moved from Center to Guard there he can just attack! I think Stork at Guard with Mason would be a sick Interior the Best the Patriots have in years.

Just think of the interior OL depth with Mason, Kline (who has played pretty well this year), Andrews, Stork, Jackson, and Wendell. That has to be the best interior OL depth the Patriots have had in a long, long time.

It also strengthens the whole "pre-season games don't tell us anything" line of thinking.

Stork has been hurt a lot since becoming a Patriot. It's a tough position; not a knock against him. However, it is comforting to know that we have another Center we can win with if one goes down. And it's just as comforting to know that the team can improve at the C position and have another quality lineman ready if/when needed. Imagine working up to the big game and having your C go down. Yeah, the versatility thing really keeps a team fluid.
Remember a few years ago when Scar started five different centers over the course of the season? Googe has a ways to go to match that. Let's hope he doesn't!

Amazing to remember that in the offseason OG was considered a position of high need. Quite an insta-rebuilding job!

Really can't express how amazed I am at what Gug (and Scar the Legend) have done in two years with mid-round picks and even an UDFA.

Jackson is solid as can be, Stork is a stud, Mason might be the best of all in a couple of years, Kline is legit now, and Andrew...well, Andrews, what's to say? When they picked him out of UDFA (and paid him a bit more to keep him), I went and read up on him. Hard to not like his character, his determination, his work ethic, his smarts. I was concerned about his size, but man, he's doing it, and so very well.

In preseason, I noticed how quickly he can redirect at a stunting or delay-blitzing guy, and he's brought that to the regular season in spades. The guy is very aware at all times of what's going on behind and to the side of his blocks. This line looks rock-solid for several years.

I'm not giving up on Fleming one bit, either, and glad he got back on the PS. He played well last year. And Cannon played very well last week, if my eyes spoke the truth to me...hard to not sit back and simply enjoy it!

I dont think I have ever seen a rotation at OL as Pats doing this year. I know it has something to do with the rookies, BUT - You have to wonder if it has something to do with no huddle aswell, and OL resting a serie or 2 here and there to keep it at max all the time.... I know Eagles didn't swap, but they have "burned" out, late in the seasons, if you look by not doing so.

Was told Bedard on the 2-6 douche show said he thought Andrews was bad against the Jaguars. Call me a homer but I didn't think he had a bad game.

Also apparently he continued his hated for Shaq Mason. Apparently he gave up 2 hurries and half a sack and I guess for a rookie playing in his 3rd game of pro-pass protection coming from a college running system is terrible according to Bedard.

Does anyone know if Andrews and/or Stork are practicing at different positions? And there's nothing implied here- just wonderin'. (BB likes versatility.)
